Tyndall Investigation Update from TOS

There's no upgrade coming here. No big timer is leaving to come here. What coach do you leaving their current school to come here?

It's just wishful thinking on my part. I know UT would never open up the wallet.

Small chance we upgrade from Tyndall. Most likely scenario is that Hart swings hard in the opposite direction and hires a squeaky clean coach with a mediocre record at a mid-major who will suck at recruiting and we'll be looking for another coach in 3-4 years.

Hart wont hire a big name because he cant, money is simply stretched too far at UT right now. But I think some of you are confusing CDT wrong doing with UT's wrong doing.

Hart is a genius!

Hire a coach you know you'll have to fire, so you can hire Pearl after his show cause expires.

Brilliant. I love this guy!

If that is the case, time to "cut bait."

But you tell me which coach is not subject to this situation, you cant watch everyone all of the time including assistance coaches.

just watch NC will get a hand slap, where as they should get multiple years of lose of wins.

Hart and Tyndall should be tied at the waist. If Tyndall goes Hart should go.

Yeah, let's roll the dice with an AD that financially stopped the bleeding in the athletic department, brought in Butch Jones, brought in Joe Scroggins, challenged that silly amusement tax from the city, challenged the BOT about the athletic department feeding money into the academic department. All because some butthurt coach called his buddy at the NCAA offices and got Tyndall investigated after he was properly vetted. Who knows? Maybe we can replace him with an AD like Mike Hamilton that knows jack about sports. As long as football is winning, money is coming in, grades are up, off the field incidents are dealt with swiftly the rest of this nonsense really doesn't matter. Most people want Hart gone because he dared to unify the athletic department with one logo just like every other school. Our fans our ridiculous and want to fire people without recognizing how it would stifle our current direction which they are completely oblivious about.

Totally agree hart has been night and day better for this program than hamilton. Basketball will never be number one at tennessee just the way it is.

I'm not as down on Tyndall as some. But this black cloud hanging around isn't helping anyone.

No it isn't but I'm gonna have to see "official info" from the NCAA before I jump ship, and, then, it really depends on the severity of the punishment. :whistling:

GO VOLS!

Let's just hire a new coach every year and keep paying the buyouts. Won't be long til the problem takes care of itself and the basketball program is shut down because we can't find a coach.

Who is next? I am so tired of this crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some interesting scenarios I would make an offer to in no order

Rick Byrd
Tommy Amaker
Tom Creen (if Indy cuts him and we would likely be best school to offer him as a rebound job)
Jeff Capel (been under coach K long enough)

Wasn't Capel pretty unimpressive at Oklahoma?

Rick Byrd? What's his buy out from the retirement home? Lol jk but really he is a good choice if he was just a little bit younger

If UT is looking for a new coach there's a better chance of hiring Ron Hunter than those coaches because he'll probably not cost as much money to hire as those others. Ron Hunter reminds me of Cuonzo Martin when people were talking about him when Missouri State went to the NCAA's I think Ron's a very good coach and UT could do much worse
