Tyler Summitt and Mickie Demoss should be here next season

DR2.... It seems Gule already has the "AHOY" award sewed up with his lesbo comments, handbags, at least Tyler likes girls yada, yada ..... but keep the faith.... maybe you could make a really strong 4th qtr run.

But I don't think there will be help for either of ya' if the new POTUS passes a law that says your IQ has got to be greater than 99 to be able to post on the internet. Just sayin'

So, some posters are putting as much blame on the player as they are Tyler Summit.....ridiculous, but understandable. They thought he would come back to UT and bring the Lady Vols back to being relevant again. I suspect these are the same posters who also think that Peyton Manning is going to be the football coach after Jones is fired from the fallout over all the sexual assaults. Typical Orange-aide drinkers.

Well, judgmental newbie, maybe you can provide an example of where a poster here put the blame on the player?

The issue is not that he had an affair. That's between him and his wife.

The issue is that he slept with a player and rumour has it that he got her pregnant. No team will take a chance on this happening again. He's a walking PR nightmare and a lawsuit waiting to happen.

His coaching career is over.

Well said. This is just standard business behavior expectations - never have a relationship with someone accountable to you. Executives in F500 companies would get punished for doing the same.

The fact that the affected party is a young student makes it even that much worse.

I definitely think there's tons of room for forgiveness - he's young, and with his family, probably has a bright future - - but not in coaching women (or even in a role that would have him near HS or college women).

I haven't seen it posted anywhere but on February 5, 2015, local Knoxville TV station WATE 6 on your side reporter Prentice Elliott did an interview with Tyler Summitt and a report on his first season as head coach at Louisiana Tech...Only one of his players was interviewed. I bet you can guess which one. LOL!

"He has an open door policy. Even though he is only 24 or 25, I don't even know. To me he's 46. After you're with him on the court so many times, the maturity level he has on the court transfers off the court so it's just as easy to get advice on anything."

- Louisiana Tech Guard, Brooklyn Pumroy

"It's not just about wins and championships," said Summitt. "Those things are great but it's about relationships. Helping these young ladies improve at life and not just basketball and that's why I think the women's game is so special."

- Louisiana Tech Women's Head Coach, Tyler Summitt

In the context of what we know now, that interview is rather ominous. Something tells me Tyler would get really bored coaching men.
