Yep i just read, dont post much. Im from Tylers home town. This is something I heard, from a pretty good source.

Heck I wouldn't blame him if he went. But he's not a top 15 pick and if somebody projects that he is they're just shootin bull.


I love Tyler and hope he stays.

But he has a family to support. He can't risk it. Greg Oden is counting his lucky stars that he went pro. An injury for Tyler next year would be awful, but a good year means more more more money

there projecting him as a top five pic in the 2009 nba draft.. after his junior year.. im sure that if he stays then he's almost guaranteed a lottery pick.. that is if he doesnt get injured.

But that's a big "if". With a successful year here next season he'll be a sure top 10 pick at worst. But if he blows out his knee he's screwed.

It basically just comes down to how much money he can make this year compared to next year. If he makes enough, he's gone... and while it sucks no one can blame him. I do hope he stays, but it just seems less and less likely.

why would he stay? If he has confidence in his ability to play then he's going pro. The only reason he would stay is because he still thinks that he's got some learning to do and doesn't want to blow his shot just yet.

A) millions of dollars guaranteed

or

B) MAYBE multi-millions of dollars

The odds of him blowing out his knee in basketball aren't that great. He can still injure himself, but it is less likely it will be very serious. Also, if he improves to a lottery pick he stands to make a substantial amount more than if he is a late 1st to early 2nd round pick.

He should go at least he'll get some money. Next year he'll make more but an injury will kill that. Plus, he has to support his family

the guy needs to freaking GO. I hate to say that as a UT fan, but this is like taking a promotion at work. GO FOR THE MONEY! He obviously likes what he's doing. Take the money and have yourself a decent NBA career.

Loans.

I think he should leave if he's a projected lottery pick. Otherwise I think he should take out a loan, and get some injury insurance. The money added for moving into lottery territory will pay back his loan easily and he will have millions left over.
