You should look at his passer rating if you think that.

I kind of like this passer rating

We need Bray to start to like our southern BBQ. He is so exciting to watch and is so accurate. I'd just like to stop worrying about the kid snapping in half when he gets hit. Instead of the freshman 15, he needs to add about 30. Although, being so skinny he can be elusive.

Bray is the starter as long as he wants to be here. We shouldn't even be talking bout him losing his job in the offseason.

“I can’t even explain what the Mexican food is like here,” Bray said. “I used to eat a ton of burritos. But out here, I really haven’t found a place yet.”

Hillarious. He is getting ready for his first start against an SEC team and he is talking about burgers and burritos.

It is funny. But also true. As someone who lived out west for many years, the stuff you call Mexican food in Tennessee is a joke. Most tastes like some TV dinner heated up in a microwave. And if you want the REAL stuff, stop in Las Cruces, NM at one of those dinky little Mexican places. However, three hours later, you're on your own though a decent helping of ice cream can ease the fire.

If you really don't want to embrace southern traits, well at least embrace our southern cooking. Oh, and BBQ isn't it. You can come with me and my family on Thanksgiving to Chattanooga. We camp out with a huge bomfire with over 30 family members(telling insane jokes and stories til 3 in the morning), get up and kill a few rabbits. We will then take the rabbits to my grandmothers house and she skins and makes some great rabbit stew and gravy. At this point all the men go to our 25 acre spread and have a tournament in skeet shooting. And while we do this my grandmother and the women are putting together a nice spread of Turkey and dressing, Ham, mashed potatoes, green beens, pinto beans and cornbread, chicken casserole, broccoli casserole, chicken and dumplings, deviled eggs, macaroni and cheese, Oh! did I mention desserts? Red Velvet cake, banana pudding, Chocalate on chocalate. And then last but definately not the least. WE get to do this while watching a little football on the big screen. That

is the SOUTH MR. Bray! and when you here about southern politeness. You really are invited!

Shano out!

On Bray:

The best recruiting decision Lane Kiffin may have made at Tennessee was moving on under-the-radar QB Tyler Bray, a lanky Californian, who at the time was committed to San Diego State. Back then, Bray's recruiting stock was percolating some. He competed at USC's summer camp, battling for the one QB offers the Trojans' staff was going to extend. It went to Jesse Scroggins.

Ironically, if USC had offered Bray, Scroggins might be at Tennessee now and Bray would be the one redshirting at USC.

Bray had impressed the Elite 11 staff at a regional workout he had in Las Vegas and that earned him a spot at a big Elite 11 camp in Southern California, where the kid shined. As I wrote back then, Bray's stock was really going up.

Kiffin, who already had been intrigued by the late bloomer's film, had called Bob Johnson. The veteran QBs coach, who helps run the Elite 11 camps drills, filled Kiffin in on just how sharp Bray had been as compared to the other top QB prospects around the country. The Vols moved on Bray, who may not have looked great when he first arrived in Knoxville, but right now Derek Dooley has to be thrilled by what his young QB is doing.

Bray and the Vols were fortunate early against Ole Miss that a pass went off Rebel LB Jonathan Cornell right to UT speedster Justin Hunter for an 80-yard TD. After that, Bray really got cranked up. He became the first QB to pass for 300 yards in his first two career starts.
