IMHO he will be a first team All SEC QB before he graduates. Laugh all yall want but this kid is going to be the real deal he has a good arm for his age and good accuracy also there was something about watching him in the O&W game that made me think "this guy has the QB mentality". He stayed very calm in the pocket. I know he doesnt have the fear of having to be broken in half but he acted like the defense wasnt even there. I think if we can get some good lineman in that we will have a very high power offense within the next 2 years.

I'd like to see him play in a game before I can make any assessment, but that's just me.

Yes, because the Orange & White game means so much. Its a game where you really show how good you are, its not the type of game that is dominated by a walkon that is never heard of again every couple years.

All I said is that he looks like a calm QB and doesnt panic I didnt say that the spring game is like a real game all I said was that he looked calm in the pocket during that game. I am still a litte concerned about his footspeed tho.

well I think he knew he wasn't going to get hit...But I kinda see where you're coming from. Let's see how he does vs the UF and UA defenses first.

I think its going to be a while before he does anything tho maybe his sophmore or junior year because of our young and inexperieced line.

it may be just a scrimmage, but that doesn't mean you can't still spot certain mechanics and attributes from players

I think he is going to be a good one too. Im pumped about him, his high school film is very impressive and the system he played in was very pass happy so i think he will be ready to play early.

I hope he will be a good QB...just because his HS film looks good doesn't mean he'll be good in college

Half the guys he was throwing against were backups, he wasn't allowed to be hit, and defenses had to play with their hands tied. When all you have to do is sit back and pick apart a defense, you better look good.

i know, and that stuff matters. but there are still other things such as throwing motions and release points that can somewhat be assessed. i'm not saying that the spring game should be a definite measuring stick, because in no way should it be. but you can still get a feel for certain players.

The talent and potential are definitely there, that is blatantly obvious. Just has to keep his head on straight, and keep working hard and he will be a good one day.

yea , it was the same O&W game that we seen Simms look like a freshmen and Bray look like the one with more experience.

This kid has all the physical tools, don't know where his weight is right now but if he can get to 215-220 minimum, he can be great. Hell with the stud WR core we have, if we keep building our OL, skys the limit for Mr. Bray! GBO!

He can put the ball on a dime. He reminds me alot of ainge. I know some people want to downplay erik but i thought he was a special qb.

Ainge was very good in my opinion, but I don't think he was special. I'd love to have him back that's for sure.

I think that Tyler will be a great QB. I agree with the OP. He had great basic mechanics not only in the O&W game but throughout the spring scrimmages (from what the stats showed). Heck even in his camps that he attended he got rave reviews. I truly believe with Jonathan Crompton last season it was Coach Chaney that developed his talent level. Like most have said, once TB gets his weight up I think his ability will only get better. Maybe I'm to optimistic, but I believe we are on the upswing as an entire squad.

We're not bashing the player......you can't say that someone will be good based on HS film and a scrimmage...I can HOPE that Bray will be great but until he steps on the field in a REAL game, then I'll reserve my judgment

How do you feel about Simm's then?

Based on the O and W game, I'm not feeling good about Simms....BUT....it was a scrimmage, I'll give him a chance.....with a short leash though
