Shows all his throws he made against GA. A few things that stick out to me. He has all the Arm strength in the world. But he was inaccurate on a lot of his throws, due to his mechanics. He could of easily had more interceptions. Still needs to check down and stop forcing throws. The play to Hunter where he ran a stop & go route an Tyler just throws it up there is a great example.

Just from watching the game, you can see he doesn't go through his progressions well at all. I can't decide if he isn't able to see/learn it or if Chaney is literally micromanaging EVERY play that is run (which I think he does to an extent).

The one good pass and catch that seemed to be reactive was the first down pass to ZR on the slant play where it looked like zack sqatted in the zone instead of running the route.

He needs to stop throwing flatfooted or off of his back foot... There is way too much sidearm going on. I felt like he had a better pocket presence earlier in his collegiate career honestly.

His throwing mechanics go to crap, but he usually escapes pressure and avoids sacks very well.

He avoids sacks because he panics and unloads the ball. He did stand in on one throw against UGA and take a hit, but the second interception was a classic panic. In some cases taking a sack is better than getting rid of the ball too quickly.

The irony is that he has never had better pass protection. Through the Georgia game, we have surrendered only three sacks — compared to 10 at this time last year and 19 two years ago.

on 1st INT that was tipped, Pig Howard Broke wide open going across the field.

it was trips left so UGAs defense was flowing toward the strength, Tyler eyes were locked on the left side of the field

its the only throw where I think Bray made a Poor decision.

i would like to see some touch on the ball. seems like every throw is has hard as he can. two throws come to mind. the one to hunter (a little behind), the one to neal late in the 3rd (the come back route). just a little less gun slinger and a little more controlled.
The throws over the middle were he tried to lead hunter is another example of the over throw.

Bray's problem is his footwork. A QB's stride should not go too far past shoulder width apart. Tom Brady's footwork is perfect, if you wan't to see how it should be done. Bray spreads way out on some throws, thats why he is off on his throws sometimes. As far as arm slot, thats hard to change(muscle memory). QB's who throw 3/4 or sidearm throw harder, but are not as accurate.

Bray has the ball in his hands a awful lot... He's going to make some mistakes..It takes a team guys.. He's being asked to win these games on his own.... If we had a better defense. A running back that could take one to the house every once in a while, Tyler would probably appreciate it. Yes he has some things to still work on, but he's got a lot of pressure on him.... He starts pressing late in games and that's when the mistakes get magnified...

the touch he put on the ball to CP was perfect. Where did the throw to Neal hit him? A ball that bounces off your sternum should be caught

no QB will be perfect but the receivers have to make the catches they can

If he wants any shot in the NFL, he has to learn to checkdown to his other recievers and not force the issue.

He played a damn good game overall and almost got us the win....you guys are nit picking him to hell and back.....the fumble was just him being a gamer and trying to get positive yardage.....the last int was tipped by his receiver and was a garbage play that wasn't going to amount to anything either way....not sure why we didn't just hail mary on that one....only one of his picks were from a bad throw unless you count the almost pick early on that Hunter saved....either way he played one heck 0of a game overall......if he plays like that the whole year we will can beat anyone...it just rests on the D.....Bray is a gamebreaker, though, for sure. He just has so much resting on his shoulders.

From what I see Bray plays better if he just goes out there and throws the ball. Like you would if playing back yard football. That is why I think his football knowledge is lacking and he is having issues now that he is working on that. He is thinking on the field instead of play pitch and catch like he did his freshman year. This will change for the better once he has a better understanding of how defenses play the game.

What do you guys think of Worley??? Should we form an opinion based on his performance in the 2nd half of last season's UGA game or the M.T.S.U. or Arkansas games? Will Worley be the starter when Bray leaves or do you think Peterman can unseat him?

Haven't seen Peterman play, To early to tell.

Bray is a poster boy for bad mechanics. He throws the ball three/quarters and/or sidearm, and he's often flat-footed or leaning backwards when he throws as opposed to stepping into his throws. Aaron Rogers, he is not. He nevertheless manages to make a lot of good throws because he's got a strong arm, and I give him credit for that, but I'll be shocked if he plays in the NFL with his lack of mobility and bad footwork/mechanics. He could have been intercepted at least once or twice more in the georgia game. The college pass rush bothers him; imagine him facing an NFL pass rush and trying to beat pro defensive backs with his leaning backwards sidearm flings. Yikes. He's another Ainge--with lesser mechanics--and Ainge isn't in the NFL. Had we stayed conservative late in the game, we might have tied georgia. But Chaney let Bray wing it--and bam, two TOs.

I will say that Bray doesn't lose his cool on 3rd and Long. His big issue is relinquishing a play and taking what the Defense gives him. I know Chaney has hammered that point in interviews coming into this year. It's just what you get with a big-armed and confident guy like Bray. He should be confident in his arm, it's one of the better ones I've seen on a college kid. His deep ball is beautiful.

He just needs to realize he can't rely on only his arm against top-notch SEC competition and especially in the NFL. He has to use his head to make the most of his arm.

Nobody would be talking footwork or throwing mechanics (at least outside of NFL scouts) if Bray was making better decisions and didn't have so many drops.

I would like to see a moving pocket, some roll outs, a boot leg - not all the time, just enough to show it's there. Change it up a bit.

On the one INT - pig was clearing wide open - if only Bray had seen him.

Bad throw to Hunter that could have been picked.

Lot's of good throws though - more than bad ones.

Let me say I like Bray, and I don't think he cost us the GA game. Giving up 51 points cost us the game. He needs to get his footwork right. He would be so much better if he did that, and if he's better the team is better.
