Tyler Bray-Reckless boating charge

I don't think so. A lot of people do small stupid stuff all of their lives without a major screwup. Some kids never grow up.

The kid is a QB of a major Div-I school. If two "minor" charges in a month doesn't have you concerned, sure don't know what will.

Wouldn't expect you to get it.

Is the smoke coming from the jet ski? Are you insinuating it's only a matter of time before he harms his personal watercraft? Because that's all that anyone with half a brain should take away from this.

It is still not good that the 'face of your team' is getting caught doing some stupid stuff. Draft stock my drop a little.

Am I wrong in saying as long as he performs up to expectations, I don't give an F what his draft stock is?

One charge. Sorry, one dismissed charge. The other incident he wasn't charged with anything. Unless you count message board charges, then I think he committed murder.

So I know that all of you blue hairs on Volnation didn't have jetskis growing up, and for fun you probably played dice or bridge with grandma at the kitchen table. But condescending and spewing garbage at a 20 year old kid for "hotdogging" on a jetski is about the dumbest thing I've seen on Volnation. These are probably also the same people who get mad at people standing at games, and who call ushers over to get said people to sit down. All of those who fall in to the above categories, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Hey Son, I think if you took a poll it was the old dudes that said it was no big deal all along. At least this blue hair didn't think it was that big of a thing.

Where there's smoke there's fire. Only a matter of time.

Come on man, this isn't that big of a deal. I had a couple of friends get a similar ticket on the lake last summer, for splashing each other with their jetskis, quite possibly from the same jackwagon that gave Bray his. Whatever TWRA says goes, and there's no real recourse to prove them wrong, so even if the charges are exaggerated, it's pretty much their word against yours. Other than the ticket being EXTRAVAGANTLY expensive (I think they had to pay nearly a $1,000 fine and take a boating safety course) it wasn't that big of a deal.

I've gotten like 5 of these this summer what else am I suppossed to do on a jet ski also easy to fight Twra dosnt have video tape evidence

Wouldn't have anything to do with those shotgun shells you are sporting in that pic, would it?

I have no problem with TWRA, in fact, I shoot at a TWRA range, I have a TWRA tag, and I took all the freaking boating safety classes with my kids. It seems you are mixing up being stopped for NO reason other than "have a nice day" and doing something stupid. It doesn't take a perfect person to not F up on the water. Just don't be stupid. I'm not perfect, I did a LOT of stupid stuff when I was a kid.....10 - 16 or so years old. However, as an adult, I don't screw around with a boat that will run near 70 or offshore in 6 - 8 with a 23' boat. Wouldn't be prudent.

The fact that you have kids on the boat gives them all they need to check pull you over and make sure you are being safe... I'm not saying this justifies them being a-holes.. It doesn't and they shouldn't be... I guess I've had a lot better luck than you. I've met some bad ones before.. I just don't think they are all bad... I don't think abuse their power either.. Maybe some do but in most cases, the person they are harassing usually deserved it..

The fine was probably elevated because he didn't have the boating safety card. Taking the course is required if he wants to "legally" get back on the water. I heard he lost "boating privileges" for a year. That would be the worst thing.....If it is for a year, I would pay the fine and say screw TWRA because in a year he won't be here if he is drafted.
