Tyler Bray haters

All you people blaming the defense have a valid point, they should of never gave up 51. However who the hell you think got us back into the game when we were down 27 to 10. It wasn't the offense. The D forced 3 turnovers and changed the game when the offense couldn't do crap in the first quarter.

I would agree that the defense did have some great plays and some very important stops but to blame one guy for a lose is absurd.

Bray should've never been put in that position in the 4th quarter. If the "D" had even partially shown up, Bray & Co. would've been ahead and running the ball and the clock out Anyon putting this on Bray is delusional

Let's be serious people. Bray is a reason we were in the game. Anyone saying otherwise is delusional. He made multiple HUGE 3rd down passes that kept crucial drives alive. Did he have 4 really bad plays? Yes. How many big plays did the D give up?

Great QBs find ways to get it done when opportunities present themelves. Bray was given not one, but two, chances to lead his team to victory, and he blew them both. It doesn't make him a bad QB or a loser, but it does mean that he's not the kind of guy you can count on in clutch situations. He makes poor decisions under pressure and he fails to seize critical opportunities. It doesn't make you a hater to recognize Bray's flaws-- and for all his natural talent, he does have them.
Most of the time qbs put in that position, wont ein the game. He did his best and he has all the talent in the world. I am proud of him and im glad his a vol.

Not a big time QB. He had the opportunity to prove he is better than throwing beer bottles at cars for kicks. He choked, pure and simple. Yes there were dropped passes but he missed Hunter twice in crucial situations in the second half. He is supposed to be a leader and the leader can't make those mistakes.

The D sucked but they did give basically give us what 24 points on turnovers. Bray just doesn't play smart and loses focus for extended periods of time at some point every game.

Great QB's want to be in pressure situations. Bray folds. Let the delusion begin...

Why would anyone be hating on Bray? You guys are idiots. We have one of the top 5 QBs in the nation.

No we don't. Like most people with a little common sence know he chokes everytime we play anyone that is good. All of his stats and blah blah blah are against nothing but air. Show me one game where he brought us to a victory against anyone thats considered actually good. I am tired of him.

:lolabove: the rest of the team played good enough to win a close game and the looser Brey, did just that he lost the game ,, 3 ints, 1 fumble, 10 throw behind the receiver .. you are just learning this game I see.:eek:lol: A QB can not play as bad as Brey and win a game like that.

That one hurt the kid.... He does care.... He'll redeem himself this year.. Tennessee has a legit offense.. They just need to clean up the mistakes... They're going to beat somebody they're not supposed to beat before this season is over. Put that in your pipe and smoke it......

I have to respectfully disagree. Bigtime QBs find a way to win close games when they are given the opportunity. Bray choked once in a critical situation and was-- incredibly-- given another shot, which he also blew. That fumble was poor judgment. Yes, Bray has loads of talent, but he is not a natural leader, he panics in critical situations and he has yet to lead his team to victory in a pivotal SEC game. And he's a junior, halfway through year 3 as a starter. I, too, am glad he's a Vol, but he needs more than talent to be a great QB.

Spoken like a true bench warmer or cheerleader in the stands. A football game is not ever won by a single player or even two players. Looking at comments like yours is like looking at a menu without the prices or descriptions; and maybe a better description would be the 1980's game "knock your block off". If football is that easy that a "cheerleader" like you could offer an intelligent comment then maybe we should be playing checkers instead.

I have watched this board for years as a former recruit in multiple sports for the past 43 months. Now I call Knoxville home thanks to my wife's career. I thank god everyday that I did not end my collegiate career here.

I was told when I was being recruited that UT fans were some of the most passionate and intelligent fans in the country. They could see real potential in players and athletes when there was little to be seen. Manning never even beat Florida but he is revered! Why is that? Oh because he went to the NFL and found success? Arian Foster was complained about the entire time he was here, yet who was the leading rusher in the NFL last year?

Bandwagon and armchair quarterbacks hmmm? Play a snap in a real game and I hate to tell you that Tennessee High Schools Don't Play Real Games! I played on two national ranked sports teams and Tennessee had zero representation in either of those sports in the four years I was on a team. When I was a recruit the internet was just starting to buzz and yet I looked there to understand what is was like. The majority of my family wanted me in Knoxville, but my Country's needs came first. I doubt most of the critics did anything outside of playing on a shabby high school team.

Bray didn't lose this game, the team did. If you are so ignorant to say otherwise I would happily show you what individual effort is worth in a "team" game. If you want individual blame to pass go watch golf. Cracks under pressure? The worst thing that has stared down you is that 185lb chick staring you down like yesterdays strawberry cheesecake.....not exactly the same.

Wow, you wasted a lot of time. I read five words and stopped wasting my time. :eek:lol:

If Bray can connect with Justin Hunter on the first two drives of the 2nd half this a different ball game. We dam sure wouldn't of fell behind early in the 3rd. Bray can't handle the pressure in big time sec games. You can defend him and make up any excuse there is but that is the truth.

The first one was behind Hunter, but Hunter still should've made the catch.

The 2nd one was not Bray's fault at all. Hunter was tripped up. He would've been right there to make the catch if he didn't stumble. That ball was thrown perfectly. I can't believe everyone's blaming Bray on those 2 plays.

Now the 2nd interception and the fumble...I no doubt blame Bray for those, but he was trying to make a play in a desperate situation, so what are you going to do?

Yes your right I'm just learning the game... I now realize that one player can lose a game even though he has 21+ other teammates playing in the game, (that have nothing to do with the outcome). Thank you for teaching me about the game. (Jack Ass)

2 out of those 3 he was running for his life, but I'm sure you could do better. I guess you forgot about the dropped touchdown pass by Patterson or how about the missed field goal and xp. Oh and also disregard the fact that defense allowed 51 points. Yeah Bray was definitely the reason we lost the game.

My oh my, how quick some people are to defend Bray and point out the other players' mistakes, but when times like the 07 SECCG are brought up, it was ALL Ainge's fault. Lincoln missed two field goals in that one, but it was still Ainge. So you know you what? This one is Bray's fault. He showed no composure in trying to lead this team back when he had the chance. He has never won from behind and has not beaten a decent SEC team in 3 years. Even Simms threw a game winning pass in his career. What does that say?

Bray is a really good QB surrounded by incompetent coaching. Really sucks for him and other players.

He had two chances to lead his team to a victory and he turned it over. enough said.

Simple enough to comprehend....agree 100%. Bray did not get it done when presented with 2 opportunities late if the 4th qtr. Could have reached hero status last night.
