Bray looks like a stud from every video i have seen of him but who knows what will happen i mean Nance could end up bein better but as of right now i dont think Nance is near as good as Bray..... We'll find out come fall. It seems like it is forever away!!!!!!!!!

Disregard dude's post. NS might have nothing else, but he has a rifle hanging on his shoulder.

Really? Go to YouTube watch the two videos on his pass to D Moore and the other on Brandon Warren and truly watch him and watch his release and notice the speed of the ball and tell me that it's like the straightline lazer type passes like Bray. While on YouTube go ahead and watch a couple highlights on Bray and Simms and tell me who you would rather have at QB. Every throw I've ever watched on Nick Stephens is more of a slower, gracious, loft type throw. It might be somewhat accurate, but they're not going to be coming in with authority. I'm not saying he can't launch a deep one, but they're not going to be a quick pin point type throw.

Watch more. The guy's only redeeming skill is his cannon.

Are there any UT students on here that see him on campus any? And if there are, does he look like he's gaining weight?

Up until '09 he had a very slow release, but the dude has a gun for an arm

I think it has been easy to overlook what a good QB he is. there is alot of talk about Nash Nance being a great QB but i havint seen any love for Tyler. i think he is going to be a beast. kurk kerbstreak went out of his way on national singing day to say that he though tennessee got the steal of the day and dont be serprized if tyler bray comes in a starts. soooo what you all think? where is thhhhe love?

Bad post as usual. Bray has never taken a snap, you cant spell, read, dont post!!!!

Kurk Kerbstreak may have gave him love, but Simon Cowell tore his ass up on National Singing Day. "Honestly, you consider yourself the next American Idol?"
Only room for one Swiperboy.

On VN those red lines under the words have nothing to do with Jesus, and everything to do with Mr Webster.

I'll be cautiously optomistic with Bray. I mean im sure he has great upside but REALISTICALLY we cant expect him to come in right away and be the savior for this team. I think in 2 to 3 years he could be a very solid qb for us but lets not put high expectations on a freshman qb comin into the sec. I have a feelin tho that he is goin to be one of the most scrutinized and praised/ridiculed qb in tennessee history. But yeah he looks like a solid prospect and i wish him the best.

Well said, I look at Matt Stafford his freshman and Sophomore years up until his JR he was pretty solid. Good post though

But a much more important question:

Which one of Stevens, Simms, Bray or Nance has the Fastest Twitch?

I think if he stays to it.... and works as hard as he said he is going to.... he can be a 6,000 yard + guy when all is said and done....

bray reminds me much of ainge as a freshman... ainge came in with a rifle and started by the third game of freshman year. ainge was tall and lanky(and imo is still the same today) but ainge was a great qb and i believe if given a legit chance he could start one day in the nfl... i look for big things from bray and the spring practice will tell me alot about him.

Nick has flaws to overcome, speed of decision making, delivering on time, etc. But he's got a freakin cannon of an arm

Go watch any film on Stephens and you'd think otherwise. He's got a couple videos on YouTube but if you watch them and really watch "him" and watch his technique and just overall passing ability you will see that he is probably not going to be starter come fall. His passes are so weak it's unbelievable. I don't know what it is, his throwing technique or what, but every pass is extremely weak and slow. Not like the zip from Bray. I too thought that he might be the starter come fall b/c of being the one who's been here longer, etc., but I watched some film to get a feel and I'm not impressed at all. Worried honestly. Think Simms will be the guy, atleast for this next yr.

I just wonder with possible line issues and no time for second looks that Stephens would't get an early nod only to be replaced later in the year when the line starts to gel. Hopefully our line holds up enough that we don't need multiple starters due to injuries! Anyone else think either of the young guys might get their start after a couple games? Or do most believe if Stephens gets the nod he plays the whole season?
