Would be great to get to play as a freshman, but if not, it will just make him work harder.

Says he will enroll early

Bray said he didnt get to meet Manning this weekend or talk to him, said that he just saw him from a distance.

Says he needs to work on getting big enough, not sure he's big enough to get hit in the SEC.

Compares himself to Peyton Manning, Tom Brady type

Would be a big accomplishment to follow in Manning's footsteps.

Chaney, Orgeron, and Reaves were his recruiters

He's a high school kid, I've never heard him talk before, but he sounds like most high school jocks to me :)

I meant GOOD, not goof. :) Sounds honest about his ability to come in and start. He says he needs to gain weight to play in the SEC and it's going to be hard to learn the playbook. California Cool.

Tyler says:
-My mom and dad loved it, mom cried during the game
-Big motivation was freshman receivers to play with who are future stars
-Tyler-I am ready to help recruit
-Tyler-my style is pocket passer, run if I have to, I'm accurate, I need to work on reading defenses
-UT national program-what is the opinion of other programs and people-Kiffin has made people take notice of UT
-Tyler-playing right away was a big factor or gettign a chance
-Tyler-I need to get bigger to take the sec hits
-Tyler-compare me to Peyton manning, tom Brady (Basilo asked who he should be compared to)
-who was the main recruitor-chaney, orgeron and missed the last name
-UT vs UCLA chances-If they play like they did last week UT can compete with anyone in the nation

Said he will be watching the UCLA game this weekend. Says if Crompton plays like he did Sat., and the RB's run the way they ran Sat. that UT could hang with anybody in America

I was kinda thrown by his tone also, but then I realized this is a qb who gave an honest assessment of his status/ability. not a braggart, not talking for the sake of talking. question and answer. I didn't get the impression he would collapse under pressure and is not totally blown away by all the hype/attention.

Exactly!

I want a quarterback that's confident and, dare I say, cocky. Tyler realizes that he needs to put on some lbs. He also realizes that he has a strong arm and solid footwork for a kid his size. I'd hate to throw him under the bus for something that's readily apparent to anyone who's watched him in action -- including the so-called experts. There's no reason to believe he won't turn out to be a great quarterback for us.

Welcome to Vol Nation Mr. Bray.

Probably not a guy that will sport the "Mike Vick" eye black on game day. Thank God.

we will just get more WR to add to our already good '10 class with him coming, the future looking good on O. SEC defense with a PAC 10 O... It's great to be a Tennessee Volunteer.

What the hell does being black have anything to do with it? I agree with you that he has served his time, but why does everything have to be about race. Maybe it's possible for him to just like him regardless of race.
