Tyler Bray and Justin Worley comparisons

I doubt Worley starts for UT in his career

It's up to Worley in my opinion. He has so much work to do with his mechanics. He's not polished at all. Like I said earlier, he has potential. And we look good with some elite QB's next year (Pike, Keil, etc.).

Edit: Not too mention Worley played in one funky offense.

No problem with Worley (POY after all), but on tape his release seems much slower than Bray's at this point.

MUCH slower. Worley will no doubt improve on that-he's a great kid. Tyler Bray can get rid of the ball, though. I loved the throwaways to Dooley instead of taking a sack. Quicker on the trigger than I ever expected him to be before he started a game or two and got up to game speed.

So I guess your saying that the National Player of the year isn't a high caliber player? No offense son but You scare me. :ermm:

Look at the past, not every player that got the Aid POY was a superstar. It def helps his chances but doesn't guarantee anything. That award has no merit on how good of a player he will be, simple. He seems like a good kid tho from what I read.

No matter how you look at it we are looking good at the qb position for the next 4-5 years. There are some people out there that don't think Worley is going to amount to much cuz he is "just" a 3 star and they just think he is a "system" qb. I think Worley is an absolute stud and if the recruiting services only want to give him 3 star's when he clearly deserve's more that only bodes even better for us cuz I think it will make Worley come in with kinda a chip on his shoulder(if a gatorade national POY ever has). Worley doesn't have elite arm strength but that is not a requirement in order to be a successful qb in the NFL or the SEC. The kid has amazing pocket awareness watch him vs South Pointe and Jadeveon Clowney, I mean he was amazing. He isn't a statue in the pocket and he always seem's to find his receivers, he is extremely accurate and the kid flat out wins. He seems to perform well when the pressure is on and I think I can recall a hand full of times this year where he has brought his team back from 14+ point defecits in the 2nd half to win games. He almost reminds me of Drew Brees(Smart, accurate, great pocket prescence and just a flat out winner).

Bray all the way. Worley redshirts. He knew this before he signed or he would not com in my opinion. Bray leaves Jr year probably and Worley gets the raines as a redshirt sophmore or redshirt jr at worst.

Listen to the experts. Bray has all the intangibles (arm strength and pocket presence). Will be the best QB in the SEC the next few years, especially as the line, running game, and receivers mature.

I am very anxious to see Bray take on the heart of the SEC schedule next year. UNC exposed him alittle in the bowl game but Bray did make some amazing throws as well. I hope Worley is patient and knows his time is coming. I hope he take advantage of the situation and studies and works his butt off. This is a great problem to have.
I think the bowl game actually made me more confident in Bray.

There has to be a reason he's three stars. Idk but with the POY he has def had his fair share of attention.

I think that maybe Rivals and Scout are in cahoots with ESPN and he is still a 3 star cuz he has been committed to TN for so long. In all seriousness though out of all of the POY winners he has got to be the most under rated. I am shocked that he didn't get the bump up to a 4 star, I mean what else could he have done? It doesn't much matter as I am not a guy who thinks that stars truly determine whether or not someone is going to succeed or not. I do believe that in some cases it actually makes certain guys better cuz they come in with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove.

You never know what kind of QB you have until you throw him into that SEC Fire.. Lets see what Bray does vs a full plate of SEC games.. We can bring this thread up this time next year, because we ALL know Worley is gonna Red Shirt..

Bray will start and will be the starter until his time at Tennessee is done or he gets hurt. As long as Simms stays, he will be #2. Worley will RS unless Simms was to transfer. Bray is a great QB and will do well in the NFL. One thing I would like to see him do a little more of is the dump down passes, and the seam route to the TE. I think he likes to just heave it out there a little to much at times. While we have great athletic WR's in Hunter & Rogers, I think he needs to understand 2nd & 2 does not mean we need a 55 yard bomb while throwing into triple coverage.

I would always say "oh great..." when he heaved it up like that and you saw the safety starting to run over...

...and then Justin Hunter would snag it out of the air..
