Tyler Bray. A Vols first?

Ut's recruiting has been no better than Carolina in the last 3 years

Thats a joke. UT easily has the best pass offense in the SEC now. Hunter is a top 10 pick and Darick is a 1000 yard reciever. If Cordarrelle is even remotely as good as he is supposed to be, no team from the East will stop our passing attack except for maybe UGA. Thats a big maybe too. Darick in the slot is going to be an automatic first down on any team not named LSU or Alabama

Come on man...can you honestly say "Tyler Bray for Heisman" with a straight face? He's a junior and hasn't even sniffed victory against Bama, UGA, or FL. I guarantee that he will back for his senior year, because nobody in the NFL will want him.

BUT, I do think the passing game has a lot, a lot of potential if executed properly

One was a senior that was SO impressive in practice, fans wanted him to start over Tebow... and made comments like "he could start on almost any team in the nation".

You want to talk about fan bases overrating players? At least Tyler has proven he can beat the cupcakes. Brantley struggled to do that.

So since they're so similar, you wouldn't trade them straight up? I know I'd never swap an NFL talent like Bray for an overhyped pus sy like Brantley.

Injuries will still be the deciding factor. He got hit last year. He is not a real strong, physical kid.

Troll? Ignorant?

Seriously? The guy had 6 100 yard games last year and 5 or more receiptions in 9 of 12 games... while being double teamed. But you "think" he won't benefit from someone on the other side who can get him single coverage?... and now potentially two guys of similar size and ability to virtually assure that he gets alot of single coverage?

"we" proved? Since when have you been on board with the program?

UT proved... that Baggett didn't coach up the young WR's... and that performance was more important than resumes when they told him he wasn't coming back.

yeah thats why we won 5 games last year cause rogers was lighting it up. yeah it was baggetts fault that rogers played like crap against ky, its not rogers fault he played all year and didnt learn anything. as far as rogers having 6 100 yard games goes...that was pretty much our entire offenses average for every game we played. i will say we because im posting on a tn message board about tn football. for all you know im tyler bray, if i was i would have gave you the "throat slash" a long time ago. its like someone already said in here beat somebody from the sec before you start a post about anybody winning the heisman. plus dont come in here and say we have the best passing offense in the sec before weve even held a practice yet. another case of doolaid drinking to the extreme.

yeah but whats our defense gonna be like? and our running game? how did we do when we went without a running game this year? so uga, lsu and alabama are the only teams that might be able to stop us..where does that leave us? second place in the east and 4th in the sec? how can you say we have the best passing offense in the sec without ever playing a game? are you saying on paper we do? better than lsu and alabama?

So a JUCO WR that has never played a down for UT, and won't be arriving until summer, is now in conversation for possibly leaving before his SR year? And you wonder why people call our fanbase irrational... We need to seriously lower our expectations of this incoming class.

if people on here did that then they wouldnt have anything to ***** about when reality hit them in the face. once again we are the best in the sec 8 months before the season starts.

Defense will be a question mark but we can just outscore people. Its the same thing Arky does. Most teams are more talented than Arky except for the key positions Arky uses most, reciever and quarterback. They just outscore people. Arky's defense was very mediocre last year, worst than ours.

Our line is going to have another year in the weight room and will only get stronger having the same strength coach. 2 years ago pass blocking was our biggest problem, last year we were third in the sec in pass blocking.

Our passing attack will more than likely not work against Bama and LSU, they proved that dominating Arkansas. We are still a good amount away from a talent standpoint compared to LSU and Bama. We barely lost to UGA lost year. Who is going to stop Darick in the slot? He will be an automatic first down going against linebackers and safeties.

Maybe because Hunter is a top 10 pick, Darick Rogers and Tyler Bray are at worst drafted in third or fourth round. Add in Patterson and its unbelievable.

I don't call it the Heisman award anymore, I call it the ESPN award because whoever they push usually wins it.....:banghead2:

I agree. I'm still pissed enough to not let it go that Charles Woodson is walking around with Peyton's award....all due to the power of ESPN. I've tried to let it go, but the award doesn't mean as much to me anymore.

I like Bray, but Aaron Murray at UGa would win the Heisman before Bray. I hate the dawgs, but that is realistic. The award means nothing since CW won it. It is politics and walking in step with the media.

:peace2:I would first like to see some winning by Bray and the team. Tyler has not proven to be the leader yet by winning key games. This season will tell all for the players and the coaches. This is going to be the season of no excuses.:detective:

Whoa now. He will have to win a lot of game between now and then. It is all about who ABC/ESPN wants to promote. Look at RGIII, how many SEC fans knew of him before ESPN started hyping him for Heisman. Bray will have to win some signature games which will require a very good defense to put him in position to pad stats.

I would settle for a complete season for Bray. Like in starting all 12 games (plus hopefully a bowl). Think we are a bit premature in annointing Bray as a Heisman candidate at this point. Very premature. And he needs to stay for his senior season. He is too small and skinny for an NFL QB. He needs at least 20 lbs of muscle added to his frame. He has the throws but he is not yet even close to a #1 QB draft pick.

Cool story bro... Concentrating on last year's record in a discussion about this year's roster. You, sir, are brilliant...

oh sorry i thought bray and rogers played last year. this is a discussion about bray winning the heisman anyway.

Bray isn't winning the Heisman, and who cares? I'm concerned about the program. If him winning the heisman helped recruiting a little, then nice. But other than that, I really don't care. That Peyton didn't win it 15 years ago tells us all we really need to know about the award.
