Ty Simpson?

But it seems that we are kind of back in play with Leavitt. He probably is gonna want 3-5 million. Simpson is better than Leavitt.

We MIGHT go at 3. But not higher.. I think Leavitt ends up at Kentucky, relationship with Stein and UK is spending.

Him and his dad are traitors. They can't stand us. He had his chance
Saban & Dabo got together & told the Simpson family they were both moving on during Summer of ‘21 if Ty didn’t commit. They didn’t want him to see Heupel’s offense. The Simpsons caved to the pressure & who could blame them. Both coaches had multiple rings on their finger.

I do. I live a hr away from Westview high School. His dad coaches at UT Martin. The whole family turned their back on Tennessee. I got no time for traitors!!! There you go
If you take this stuff that seriously, then I’d be willing to bet you’ll forgive and forget as soon as he throws a pass wearing orange.

His stats are misleading. They played 15 games and he averaged less than 240 yds per game and less than 2 TDs per game.
The guy has been playing hurt since the UT game.
He could've sit out and protected his draft stock like many.
He's tough; don't judge him by his stats for trying to carry the team.

And his younger brother.
Bringing Ty in would be great for next year and set table for lil bro 3 years out. Ty is a good college qb, I don’t think he’s a pro, but Daboob’s system and lack of running game could be a major factor in that too.

Always depressing to read these threads and see so many people clamoring for other people's rejects lol.

Arguing Bamas trash could be Tennessee's treasure is kinda weird but whatever.

Heupel really needs to decide if he is gonna develop a QB or just grab a starter from the portal each year. I don't care what we do, but we can't do both.

Personally, I say we let GMac and Brandon battle it out in the spring and whoever wins wins. Let them take their lumps next year when we have a brutal schedule and then see what happens afterwards

2025 was a waste. There is no excuse for Joey Aguilar to ever take another meaningful snap after the Oklahoma game. Once playoff contention was out, we needed to be looking to the future. Not wasting our time trying to preserve our one year rentals streak of 200 yard games.

I’m not gonna pretend that Simpson is Tom Brady, but trash? Seriously? You can’t seriously think he’s that bad lol.

CJH’s system is for building project QB’s for his system. Simpson is already established. Although he had to run for his life at times while at Bama, he’s not very much of a mobile QB. Lol-saying that, the kid had to run for his life at Westview too.
Eeeeh, I don't know. He ain't Lamar or Josh but he's pretty quick.

Simpson did not play in Heupel’s offense. I see him as someone who has SEC experience and good accuracy who could be an asset in Heupel’s offense. Especially being a one year bridge to your 5 star the next year.

And nothing would make me happier than him rolling the tide in Neyland in October and possibly getting us into the playoffs. It might help us with his little brother.

Don't care if a kid is a "pro". I want great college players.
