Rarely do I see an article like this these days, especially since ESPN is giving UT credit for a recruit:oops:

Redmond, 6-foot-2/192 lbs from Alpharetta, GA, is expected to serve as one of Tennessee's top backup cornerbacks this fall.

That's great to hear! Having that size paired with talent is a rare combo.

WE need him to be all that. McCoy out, and otherwise thin at CB.
Hood is still ahead of him on the depth chart. If we are fully healthy, Redmond is unlikely to see the field much during meaningful snaps this year. Which is a good thing, unless you are a Stingley or Surtain type, you probably don’t need to start as a CB as a true freshman.

The story said Redmond was considered a top backup at corner/db. With McCoy out, I bet we see him vs Cuse.

He’s a versatile piece that can probably be used in all 5 spots

Have you watched any Tennessee games at all the past 4 years?

if you’re in the 3 deep on defense then you’re going to play. He’s in the 2 deep.

We rotate heavily on defense. Anyone that has paid attention KNOWS this.
