I retract my previous statement...after looking at what Florida state and ohio state have on deck currently (two of Cam's top schools) I think UT landing him and his opportunity for playing time is MUCH better. Both schools have the #42 and #41 running back committed to them, on top of the fact that the starter for next season for both teams is highly rated/proven. We'll just have John Kelly and Carlin, both unproven. Plus there are a TON of retweets about UT on Cam Akers Twitter account. Seriously counting my chickens, but this stuff reminds me of the days we had Henry, Lewis and Stephens to choose from (if we get Cam too)

If he loses to UF or Bama, some are going to lose it and start the campaign to replace him. SHTF according to them.

Yup and hopefully after an SEC East (Possible SEC championship), and both Hurd and Kamara going pro, Akers will see the light and join Chandler in K-town.

Why, because he went and got the #6 running back and 109th ranked player in the country as opposed to just sitting pat with the #39 running back and the 549th ranked player in the country? I'd say that's a smart thing to do.

And if we get Akers, we will use him as an Akers type.

Yep, I'm aboard and been aboard, got off a little last year with the close losses but I think he shores it all up with Shoop.. If Butch gets Akers omg.. It's on!

HA! Thats awesome and what a great steal! Regardless on what all the doomsayers on here have to say it appears that recruits believe in whats happening.
