TX QB Kaidon Salter (Liberty signee)

Salter, a junior at Cedar Hill (Texas) High School who's a top-100 prospect in 247Sports' rankings, recently announced a top 11 that included Tennessee. Auburn, Baylor, Michigan State, Utah, Ole Miss, Arkansas, UCLA, Georgia Tech, Kansas and Louisville are the other teams in the running for the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Salter, who's ranked by 247Sports as the No. 89 overall prospect and No. 4 dual-threat quarterback in the 2021 class. Salter visited Tennessee on March 12, the day before the NCAA shut down all recruiting visits through April 15, a deadline that recently was extended through May 31. Baylor and Arkansas both have received multiple predictions for Salter on the 247Sports Crystal Ball, but sources close to his recruitment believe Tennessee and Auburn also are among the top contenders for him, and the Vols appear to have a realistic shot at him.

Directing resources elsewhere wouldn’t be a bad alternative.
Who is in charge of meting out resources? Do you take away someone's phone? Do you refuse to buy maybe a couple of plane tickets to DFW? We have a lot of coaches on staff. All they have to do is coach football and recruit 25 guys to come play football. Is there any reason not to try to get the best prospects?

Directing resources towards comparable prospects in regions we’ve had more success.

I like the kid’s film and I believe he’s got a good head on his shoulders. I’m on board with this one. Could even get a ratings bump, too. He’s definitely a middle high to high 4 star

Jordan LoveUTAH STATE AGGIES

Lean, athletic build with adequate height. Will need to fill out upper body but athletic lower-body build. Natural playmaker with instincts and feel. Good downfield arm strength with above average short-to-intermediate velocity. Great improvisational skills. Dangerous in the scramble drill. Very mobile and throws well on the move. Pass-first QB but definitely athletic enough to hurt defenses with his legs. Encouraging athletic profile. Track and field athlete who competes in 300 hurdles, high jump, long jump, and triple jump. Will need to continue adding bulk to strengthen overall build. That will also maximize arm strength, particularly vertically. Can tighten delivery and get a bit quicker with release. One of the top QB's in Texas for his class. High-major prospect with long-term NFL Draft potential.
