you don’t want players in the locker room who don’t want to be there. Ever.
PLEASE, understand there is a big difference in having him show up at UT and providing him a release on his preferred timetable.

It does APPEAR that we are totally clean in this deal or he would have already leveraged a release on demand. If true we should provide a tactical release. Like having access to his phone records from the moment the document was provided to UT and the endpoint of our choosing. That should be fun! Eliminate all conjecture possible.

Any smart folks know what his options are if we provide the release after the last day of late (NSD) period?

All I know is this kid better freaking love Columbus and tOSU because if he even thinks about entering the portal at any point after this. VolTwitter has long memories and receipts in hand.
So VolTwitter is gonna post mean twits at him? And why would he care? Do people really take this social media stuff seriously? Just typed words, no? Seriously, I just don't understand it.

I bet his career is very unproductive.
When he committed to us originally Hubbs talked about him on the podcast. Caught a little heat for his comments, but said he’s either going to be a generational player or you’ll never hear from him again. Said he doesn’t have a true position. Of course you could say that about most recruits, as far as generational or being a bust.

I’m all for giving him his release if he wants to go but the fact that multiple articles have said Ohio state has been working hard to flip him back .. how is that not blatant tampering ?
I suppose Heupel could file a complaint? With who? And don't we kinda live in glass houses if what the Illinois qb has posted recently about our...uh...not tampering with him last year. Might wanna just let this one pass by quietly.

Don’t remember the last time we had a kid go through this much trouble to make sure he doesn’t play here? He must really, really not want to be here for whatever reason. What a strange situation.

Nah. Boo Carter set that bar way, way higher.
