Two reasons Butch is not gone

I guess it still holds (one more loss doesn't change those reasons), but that is from a week ago

Interesting. My opinion has been if he wasn't doing it after Florida or Georgia, he wasn't doing it during the season. Don't pretend to know the specific reasons. But realistically there is no difference among looking bad in weeks 6,7,8, etc. There is no real "last straw" if you aren't fired after the Florida or Georgia disasters.

This cade mays is gone, this class will be lucky to be top 30 by the end of the month

We have some talent and I'm not concerned about 1 class vs hiring the right guy...but we need to keep Mays and the other olinemen. Decision must be made before the early signing period.

Everybody is wringing hands over recruiting. So what? Jones has a roster filled with his "outstanding" recruiting classes and cannot win a damned game! He is a pi$$ poor recruiter that has people fooled.

A good, quality coach will fill the recruiting room with the RIGHT players for the RIGHT position for the RIGHT school and then coach and motivate them the RIGHT way. A high quality coach will not run off winners or watch them languish on the bench.

GO BIG ORANGE! ... and go away Lyle Jones!

The deal about letting a interim win over the locker room is a good reason. You got to hope they have a very good reason to not fire him right now. Then you think back to how they've done things in the past.

He is still here because the stadium has been pretty much full for home games . When the stadium has 30% of the seats empty Jones will be fired the next day. Its a business folks. As long as the consumers (fans) are still buying the product(showing up for gameday) Butch will be the coach. This is how it always goes down here and at every other school thats thinking about changing coaches . Only a few programs care enough about winning to make a change before this happens and we are not one of those schools.

Currie still sitting on his hands shows the current administration is not committed to winning.

^^^^ This ^^^^

Admin and BIG $$$, powerful boosters not caring if we WIN Championships is our biggest problem.

Making profits is their ONLY motivation and that's why we hired our current AD rather than a AD that's all about building Championship teams.

Until that changes I fear our best days are far behind us and that's very sad indeed.

VFL...GBO!!!

I'd say your right. They're not emotionally invested in the program or you wouldn't have seen a decade long sh-t show.

You don’t much follow recruiting, do you?
Yes, every day. I just don't wear panties where every little thing that a 17 year old kid does affects my rationale. So he's on a visit and likes trolling you rubes. Just wait and see what happens.

Doesn't matter if the seats are empty, The tickets have already been sold, The money is in the bank...They win regardless.

Absolutely its about bringing money in to the university. They wont make a move until they see that the cash cow is going away . I hate Bama but Bama would go 20 million in the red to win championships but very few programs look at it that way. Ut has always tried to turn the most profit for least investment and thats why we are where we are. They truly take advantage of the loyalty of our fans.
