Their last touchdown drive to tie the game, the completely botched the PI call in the endzone, one ref came in saying it was uncatchable, but still called the PI anyways.

And the line judge just closed his eyes on the false start after that. Both of them 3rd downs, both of them HUGE 1st downs by penalty or conversion that kept them in the game.

Big 12 officials are just awful. I couldn't believe it.

I agree that they may have changed the course of the game. But, we should have never been in that position anyway. Going into the 4th this game should have been all but over had we executed

This.

If you are leading a game 17-3 going into the 4th quarter. All that's left is to squish the head, UT didn't do that tonight.

100% agree with you, but as it was our offense hit a wall after our last touchdown, and we relied on our defense that played the best game of their lives. But in the end, when we were in that situation, it shouldn't have taken us out of the game by two horrific judgments by the officials.

Not blaming the loss on the refs at all, just that they blew two calls. We should have put the game away in the 3rd when we came out of halftime, but our offense stalled.

Dude, we had their ass until we choked in the 4th quarter. The refs didn't have a fu***** thing to do with it. We blew it because of piss poor defense and because Dobbs is overrated.

Don't forget the Dobbs fumble that would have been an OU touchdown... oh wait...

That was good for UT so it must have been a good call.

They protect quarterbacks. Dobbs was going backwards when the ball was ripped. The right call was made. The PI call would have gotten our tired defense off the field. It was huge.

Yeah I was going to say the same thing. We totally got lucky that the refs blew that whistle. They had mercy imo because he was the qb. Had it been a running back they would have been slower to blow that whistle.

The no calls on the false starts were terrible but if we just score one effing point in the second half it doesn't matter.

There were so many other things that cost this game. Poor execution on offense, conservative play calling in the second half, Jumper, poor tackling, Jumper, horrible tackling,......... I think the biggest things that stick out to me are Jumper's penalties, and all the poor tackling.

I hear ya and I know what you mean. It came at an absolutely devastating time. I was just venting a little because I'm very frustrated.

I thought that the refs were pretty good overall. Haven't seen the PI replay yet, but it sure looked like that wasn't catchable live. The non-procedure call was a flat out miss unless the center snapped the ball and the rest of their line didn't move. Overall though, they kept the flags in their pockets and let them play. There were several minor out of bounds "late hit" calls that they let go... no harm, no foul. Probably blew a few calls, but overall they managed the game pretty well IMO. Certainly much better than most SEC crews that I've seen over the last few years.

The refs gave us the first half and them the second. Don't blame them. This one is on the coaches, Jumper, and the O-line! Jumper needs to be benched!

Refs had no play in the outcome of this one.
ZERO points 2nd half?
Butch needs to find some bionic arms for the ones he cut off of Dobbs in the 2nd half.
