1) Throwing three straight times after Nukeese broke off that 41 yard run on the first play.

2) Kicking off to McCalleb 2 times in a row when it was obvious that he was a dangerous returner - especially against our kickoff team.

I love Kiffin and staff, but they made some mistakes in this game. Not cashing in points on that first drive was killer and Auburn getting the ball in our territory after we had pulled within 7 really hurt us.

I rewatched the game this morning and was thinking the same think that you stated in #1 Why in the hell did we throw the ball 3 times in a row

I thought the play calls were ok because we had people open. Obviously, it was a crucial miss by Lincoln. I think most of the Special Teams problems stem from Cunningham. He line drives kicks and usually only gets them to the 10 or 15 yd line.

Get ready to get flamed! Its NEVER Kiffin's fault. (I agree with you by the way)

We don't have a kicker with a leg strong enough to kick it away from someone. Same deal with Florida and Brandon James. They are standing under the ball at the 10 yard line like a pop fly. You can't blame the coaches for that. If you think they're dumb enough to intentionally want to kick it off so that a guy like James can return it, then you know nothing about football.

I love Kiffin's offensive play calling. There always seems to be a man open and if we had a competent QB, we would make those receptions. But I agree with you about your two points. I also thought we should have tried Nukeese a couple of more times in the Wildcat as a distraction if nothing else.

Apperantly not..It didn't seem to work (just saying)...

We actually kicked to the other return man on the other side of the field several times, resulting in shorter returns. I'm just wondering why we didn't keep doing that.

We probably were trying to, and Cunningham can't execute it.

Two crucial coaching calls that cost us a chance to win would be;
1) letting the talent level decline to the point it's at
2) wasting schollies on several of the players we have

yea daniel lincoln missing a chip shot and betting one blocked is definitely the coaches fault right your a retard. the coaches called what was our best shot at winning the game and if you dont think they want to win as bad or worse than you do then you are badly mislead

Any pass by our team starts the endless spiral of "correct the failed pass play with another pass". Much like chasing a missed PAT by continually go for two.

We would have to run on every play to avoid this and that is not practical.

what the hell do you want them to do kick it out bounds for a penalty, or squib it where everyone can miss their tackles and instead of a long gain they get a touchdown.
Plain & f-ing simple make a damn tackle.

Im like a few on here.good play calling but you have to execute.crompton throws to somebody wide open either over them or behind and when he did throw it they would drop it.now in the 4th quarter is what it looks like when u execute but a lil to late

And neither one of these two is to be blamed on this staff.. Guys I would have loved to have him come in and win nine games but it just cant happen with Foolmers players. Give him time and we will be back to contending for major bowls and sec titles

Maybe I've missed it, but I don't think we've recruited a kicker for next year. Can't continue to give teams the ball at the 45 yard line and expect to win the field position advantage.

we've got a commitment from arguably the best HS kicker in the country

The reason why Auburn won the game was because their QB, made the plays he had to when he had to make them. And the kickoff team can't make a tackle.

So, because I question two coahing calls, I know nothing about football and get called a retard. I like what Kiffin is doing and I think he will improve our program, Criticizing him doesn't make me stupid or less of a Vol fan.
