Weird thing to me is that the same sort of epidemic following of recruits, shoutouts, self-promotion, etc etc wasn't even close to as much of a thing with Facebook as it is with Twitter.
It's almost like Twitter gives people a semblance of anonymity
A Facebook comment has your real name and your picture. A Twitter comment has a picture of whatever your avatar is, and is only seen by you and the guy you send it to and whatever tiny number of people are following both you and him.
