Release date of October 4. I cannot wait for this game to come out. I was a huge fan of the original Twisted metal games on PlayStation and PS2. New game modes and online play look like they're gonna be great additions. This is gonna be awesome.

I only played the original, and remember playing it non-stop. The kind of addiction to Halo 2, Starcraft, etc. I dont own a PS3, but have been looking for a used one for a while now.

From everything i've read this is going to be a great game. They have tried to keep an old school feel for some of us that played the old game, while adapting some changes to new game styles. Things like the cheesy cut scenes and stories will still be around.

The original series creeped the hell out of me as a young'un.

They did come out with a game that was pretty much this but it also had racing in it. I don't remember what it was called.

WTF is with the mechs? Tell me that's story mode only.

Would make an interesting MP with mechs though. Make where you got to work for the second chance.

I hope it's as fun as the original. 2 came out while I was in college and we played the hell out of it. Co-op was just plain fun.

Nervous about the mechs... For whatever reason, there have been very, very few good mech games ever made.

It definitely looked like that was just the end of the game in the story mode or something.

We shall see. I'm too lazy to research it.

Anybody else pick this up. So far I like it, but I really like the series. I have had a problem with the online mode. I tried to play and couldn't get a game started, there were never enough other players. There is a bit of a ping pong effect to the physics that I don't really like. It seems like I go flying across the map for a minimal hit at times and It gets out of control. But I love the new game mode options and quirks in the story mode. So far, I'm glad I bought it.

Picking this up today. Watched some videos and reviews on youtube and it really looks like a fun game. And rp, it's called a demo for a reason.

Because it's supposed to demonstrate what the entire game is like?

When Battlefield 3 came out with its demo it sucked too. And it turned out to be a good game. If a demo demonstrated what the entire game was going to be like then that would make it pointless to release a demo instead of just releasing the entire game.

Picked this up last night. It's pretty fun. If you get the limited edition you get the classic PS2 game Twisted Metal black with it which I got.
