I was living in Nashville. Was so drunk at the end of the game, I ran around my neighborhood for about an hour screaming GO VOLS as loud as I could. The next day had a hangover to remember. Worth it!

Thanks everyone for the good laughs and memories this morning. It was really great to see some of the “old” footage of the game and remember how how awesome that era was. Being 58yrs old I’m not sure I’ll ever see another NC in my life but at least I did see one. GBO!!!

I was there in the stadium crying and drunk with 3 of my best friends after the game. I even had a Ohio State fan behind us in the stadium saying we didn’t deserve to be there and it should have been them and FSU playing. Still remember his look as I shook my hand hold up number one in his face.
Damn that was a great night.

We won the national title. Except for the day I got married and the day my son was born it was the greatest day of my life. Me and my best pals went to Cumberland right after the game, and even though it was freezing, had a blast. The only hangover that didn’t bother me. What were you doing that night?

I couldn't wait to get back to work after that game and gloat!

It was awesome especially living in bammerland. I was convinced we'd win at least 3 more SEC championships and probably 1 more NC before PF retired.
the 2001 SEC championship game busted that bubble, after that I saw the reality that PF was not going to be able keep UT at the top. It's been bittersweet because of what could have been, yet it was wonderful at the time.

At O’Charlie’s on the strip. I always remember waking up the next morning thinking the world would be different some how, but it was the exact same.

I had an OSU fan say the same thing to me at a bar the day before the game. What’s with those people? He said to me, “do you REALLY think you have a chance to win this game.” I said, “ FSU would best us 7 times if we played 10, but TOMORROW we will win. He told me I was crazy. I do much wish I would have run into him afterwards. We flew back on the red eye to ATL after the game. The plane was 20 percent orange. We kept a lot of people awake on that flight.

Went to the game. Had a feeling it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Watching on a 58" rear projection TV that I just purchased, it was state of the art back then
