No dc announcement today. Dooley only had about a 2 hour window that he could be in town. Dont know if a hire has been made or not anyway. The only thing i know for sure, is the media will not know until Dooley is ready for them to know.

I wondered if Dooley and/or Hart was intentionally putting some mis-information out there to throw the media off. Having different "done deals" seem to point to that or just a bunch of folks making things up

Dooley and Hart ran a tight and silent process (with the media for the most part), but now that it is unofficially official, these media outlets are reporting it (probably after reading VN to be honest with you). But the AD has not issued an official word. That doesn't change the fact that it's a done deal.

If nothing is given out by the AD/Dooley today then it will be Monday.

i've been told by some guys at the U that it's done...they claim to have seen something internal a few days ago.

I don't know when Tony B predicted RS, because I don't follow his show. I do know you were the first person that I saw that predicted RS on here. So that being said, if it is announced officially, kudo's to you. :hi:

This has most likely been posted somewhere else, but this came just before noon today from footballscoop.com's twitter account.

Coaches Happy Hour at the Convention. Monday @ 5. Unfortunately, Derek Dooley has regretted (something about having an announcement to make)

I wrote them and ask if that meant that UT had hired Shannon or not. They wrote back and said:

@RustyVol77 will be announced Monday

Sounds like he's in, but who knows.

Here's one more post from the guys at footballsscoop.com.

Tennessee: Multiple sources (on either side) tell us UT and Randy Shannon are finalizing contract details (see quotes) FootballScoop - The Scoop

I tried to go to their site and read the quotes, but the speach software that I use on my computer wouldn't read the site. It must have lots of graphics. Oh well. If any of you guys could go and read it and let me know what it says I would really appreciate it. Blind folks can do lots of things on computers, but there are still limits.
