Looking at the radar it looks like playing the game earlier today should have been the call.


Does TV dictate the inability to change gametimes due to weather??

I believe it does. I know when we played at Vandy, the question was asked to Corbin whether we would have played any of those games that weekend on a natural surface. He said probably not because we were locked in by the TV schedule Saturday. Otherwise the only way to have gotten those games in on grass/dirt would have been to doublehead earlier Saturday.

I don't know how firm that is but I gather that it is at least very frowned upon to play early due to the chance of unplayable conditions.

They should have moved the Sunday game to 1PM yesterday and retained the TV game time of 7PM as part of a day night doubleheader.

Would a game at 1 been good weather wise??

I am not in Knoxville to know when the rain arrived.
