I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it, so apologies for the duplicate topic. My question is this - after the announcing fiasco we had to endure with ESPN2 against the Mildcats on Saturday, combined with what we all know is coming with Gary vs. Georgia at 3:30pm this Saturday, I've got to find a way to be able to watch the game with mute on, and listen to the game on radio or app, without the time delay. Any tech experts out there that know how to make that happen or am I just stuck with watching the play, and then hearing about it 5-7 seconds later?

Good question, I tried listing to the game online threw the VRN but they were a play behind. Just ended up going full mute for the whole game.

The radio broadcast is usually only 5-10 seconds behind the TV broadcast.

1- stream radio broadcast

2- before the beginning of a new play (snap, kick, etc), pause your TV

3- when the broadcast catches up to the play, unpause your TV

I’m a perfectionist here and don’t like even a hint of timing difference between the two, so sometimes I will repeat this process a few times to get it just right.

Once you have them synced up…they will remain so for the rest of the game.

If you want to pause the game for a bathroom break or beverage run, then upon your return you will need to catch up to current action and repeat the sync process.

Which ever channel it was on on EPBFi TV, and the ESPN app on the tv, were both at different times from the radio broadcast. Drives me crazy!

I've done this for years, can't stand the TV guys. Say what you will about Bob, I'll listen to him over Danielson every single day. As DC said above, the key is to stream the Vol Network. Using a radio would have the audio ahead of the video.

I have a dvr which I can pause and rewind. So what I do is pause till the kick returner gets up from the opening kick and I hit play once the radio says he is down at…. That usually works well for me. if the radio is ahead then I just live with it as I can’t stand any tv announcers.

Agreed and we do the same thing, with one exception: sometimes, for whatever reason, they get out of sync again….no pauses, nothing “locked up”, just really weird….but I just reset everything and it’s good to go.

I have Hulu so I'm streaming everything, and there is a massive delay from when I see things vs live time. Even the radio broadcast is ahead of mine, so I am out of luck listening to anything other than tv broadcast. If I follow along with Twitter, I am at least a play and a half of normal time behind live. With our warp speed offense, we could be punting in real time and I am only seeing 1st down.
