Just got the EyeTV Hybrid for my iMac. It's a little bigger than a pack of gum but it allows regular analog, digital cable and HDTV to play on the Mac. Also, has a built in DVR, programming guide etc. Finally, it allows me to hook up my PS2 to the Mac with no lag.

All this for about $140. Cheapest HDTV on the market!

all this stuff is pretty amazing to me.

So far, I've used regular analog cable (via coax cable), HDTV (ATSC over air antenna), and PS2.

Other features include an online programming guide which allows recording scheduling, DVR functionality (saves direct to HD for easy DVD creation), and program editting features.

All in all, a pretty sweet deal. My iMac has a 20in 16x9 screen so it's perfect for TV/HD in the office.

I think the ability to record right onto my HD then edit and burn onto DVD will be the best feature of all. Much easier than pulling it off my DVR

Elgato is the company - EyeTV Hybrid is the particular product I have.

If you had a 24inch iMac and this thing, you wouldn't need a TV at all!
