TV, movies, music, Books and whatnot.

I watched the first 5 or 6 episodes and enjoyed them. Then it progressively got so stupid I stopped before the end of season 1 never to return.

Watching Psycho.

I seem to recall this being shown in theaters around the time Psycho II was released. That may be the last time I watched it.

A Godzilla TV show? I had to check it out. Monarch: Legacy of Mosters has the same special effects crew from the most recent Godzilla movies and Kurt Russell. However, the writers write young adult characters that you want to see die within 20 minutes of each episode. Alas, they’re central to the story line and repeatedly escape death.

Maybe my favorite interview thus far. It's amazing the world doesn't tip, and tides do not change everytime Dynomite Henry Dick Thompson shifts his balls. This guy is a hero for many. As kids guys like him were the dads we would be spellbound by. My neighborhood had a group of kids we all wore tiger stripe ARVN camo, and whatever Army Store treasures our allowance would afford, we played in the woods and relived the stories we heard told. I dunno if my neighborhood was regular or not but it seemed like every other house had a veteran in it. A few would actually tell stories....sometimes ones I wish I had never heard. My neighbor had a little shrine to his grandfathers ww2 experiences pictures of his old war buddies, captured flags, a dagger and pistol.. this seemed normal. I also miss the old barber shop and the men who gathered there, I can not in many life times equal the stories and tales we heard there. We had ww2 vets, korean vets, and vietnam vets. No one got bent even when it came to politics, people agreed to disagree. The only time I heard harsh words was over SEC football...and damn nearly every team was represented at Mike and Weldons barber shop. That was understood to be allowed trash talk. It was always a long wait to get your haircut on Sat and not a single person minded as long as you could hear people talk. There was a dime glass bottle coke machine, and having a coke and listening to those men talk was better then Sat Cartoons. This was where I first heard tales about MACV-SOG, and DET A, then as I went to Gun and knife shows with my dad I'd hear more. I was a regular at Brainerd Army Navy store, and Jacks downtown when it still existed. I'd listen to every tall tale and every true story, most were a mix. Of course those guys would never be the ones talking usually....but a couple were there nodding their heads. The real MACV guys couldn't talk then still under their non disclosure period, but their buddies would talk.

Anytime you think your a bad a$$, watch guys like him talk and hear their stories and you realize just how much lower on the man scale you probably are.
