seems like Plasma's has alot of fans, but I thougth LCD had better reliability

I've heard of the bulbs in Plasma's bowing up, and it's like $300.00 bucks to replace

No bulbs in Plasma - that's LCD projection you are thinking of.

I heard plasma had the "burn in" problem but the newer ones are solving that problem.

Plasma (and tube) have highest burn in susceptibility. Never been a problem for me if you follow simple break-in procedures and don't have the thing in torch (dynamic) mode with contrast cranked to the max. Newer versions use pixel shifting to mitigate the problem. It can happen but easy to avoid.

Plasma has a heat and power consumption issue compared to LCD.

Yes but I haven't noticed it as a problem.

For me, plasma has the deepest, richest picture and best blacks next to tubes. They also don't have any viewing angle issues. LCD's are great too but I prefer plasma.

Bottomline, each has minor weaknesses and strengths - find the one that looks best to you regardless of technology and buy it.
