*is just waiting for the first person to come along and say, "OMG Kahlil must REALLY suck if he still has his stripe!" setting off a board-wide panic.*
*maybe that's why he jogged back to the locker room yesterday. For shame*

Either Butch is trying to temper expectations with Kahlil or it just might take a little longer for him to get accilimiated to this level of football than originally thought. I personally thought he would AT WORST be the second freshmen to lose his stripe. I know his teammates have been more complimentary of him than the coaches. So we'll see whats up in a few weeks when games actually start getting played.

I think the coaches really want to contain the KMack hype, but they also know that he's going to play a lot this season and make some huge plays. I mean, there's plenty of video evidence already that he has the strength and size to be dominant.
CBJ might be using a strip to help motivate an already good player by leaving KMAC's strip on and removing Shy's. Also, he is rewarding Shy for his effort and work and in a way showing Shy that he is not an after thouht and is just as important to the team as KMAC. JMO and not worth 2 cents, or sence, or since, or scents.
They need all the snaps they can get before Oklahoma comes to town. Doesn't really matter if they start as long as they get the game-time reps.
I don't think the coaches are the ones that decide the order of stripe removal...In the past it has been an older "mentor" player that decided when their charge was ready to get the stripe removed.
