When I was a kid we would go out after a good rain and find box turtles on the side of the road. I probably had 4-6 at one time in a little pen I made of rocks. I'd feed them and let them wander around the yard. We got a new border collie and she did the opposite of these dogs. One by one she carried all of them out of that pen and I guess put them back in the woods. Never saw them again and I grew out of trying to find them. I haven't seen one in a long time but I can't say I've been looking. Turtles and snakes are something you probably pass every time you hike or are near woods or fields but you rarely see them.

Bastards get in the garden and eat the bottom out of our low hanging tomatoes. Other then that, they are cool....
