I'm sure most of you all realize that by us 'falling' to the Chick-fil-A bowl, we are set up to enjoy one of the better Tennessee sports days in recent memory.

Our basketball Vols play Tiger High at 4 on New Year's Eve. We then tee it up with Va Tech at 7:30.

Look out liver, it's going to be a loooooooooooong day!

:)

The largest consumption of beer in Volnation history. The key is to keep a steady pace dont want to peak to soon and miss the big game..

I hope somebody will have the b-ball game on at a tailgate outside the Dome

I don't think we'll have a problem beating Va Tech in football, but if we don't improve in bball the Memphis game scares me.

Completely forgot about the Memphis game. It will be a fun day in the ATL.

Heck, man. Just camp out at Stats and call it a day!

Contemplating spending my ticket money on a seat at a tap table.

Stats

STATS is freakin' awesome. Hands down the best sports bar I have ever been to. Taps on the tables, that is great. Had a good time their with my buddies as part of bachelor party weekend.

Love that place. If it were socially acceptable to host client meetings there, I would put its address on my letterhead.

I'll watch UT vs Tiger High until halftime, then take my 30 minute train ride to the GA Dome to watch UT beat the turkeys

Yikes! I've been on that train. Please cover your wallet. And by all means, don't touch anything you don't have to!

for us at home watching and drinking, this is great. for the teams im not so sure. some students will go basketball while others go to the bowl game. So less fans for each, which you know you need plenty of fans to help win.

Do you think this will have any implications on which game fans will attend? Will our attendance be spread thin at either game?

I rode MARTA practically every day for a year while in grad school at Georgia Tech...I never once feared for my life or safety, and didn't come down with any strange diseases either. Unless it's gone WAY downhill in the past 10 years, it's perfectly safe. If I end up going to the game this year, I'll definitely take advantage of it again.

FAIL. The Atlanta po-po would definitely take exception to that... Rapes, robberies and other assaults are occurences that take place often enough to be a good reason to be on your guard if you are going to use MARTA.... There is a very politically incorrect saying about what MARTA stands for.... Something about moving a certain people group (who aren't Asians, BTW...) rapidly through Atlanta.....

The B-Ball game is in Memphis, and I actually think more students will attend the Chic-Fil-A Bowl because of the large number of them in the Atlanta metro area, Chattanooga, NC, SC, AL, etc... that are still home on break.
