Tuesday's practice - question

We had a double-digit lead in the 4th quarter of the 2006 game.

...and that's the game where we COULD NOT run against UF, but were lighting them up with the pass, and Cut tries to impose our will on them and run the clock. How'd that work? 3 and out, punt, UF comes back and wins the game.

I honestly believe if Fulmer had a sack, we would have continued to pass them silly and won easily. We don't get penalized for running the score up.

we ran the ball 5 times compared to 14 passes in the fourth quarter. Try again.

although, the whole thing should be clarified even further. We had a 17-7 lead until Florida scored a TD with a little over a minute to go in the third.

you base this on games against hawaii and miami?
And Tennessee's running game is great based on your first two games?? One which consists of running the ball successfully late in the second half against a worn down crappy uab defense with three fresh backs...

Careful, the truth is not always welcome on this board.

Or just rotate 3 rb's and cram it down their throat. Up the middle and a cloud of dust is how you beat UF. Control the clock, wear out their D-Line and most importantly keep their offense off the field.

This is working for Air Force this year against the spread... maybe we should implement it for real!

. . .and if we can't run the ball with the stable of running backs we have and a veteran offensive line. . .we don't deserve to win!

Very true. But we won't be able to just line up and pound it down their throat all the time. Balance is needed. Your not going to beat florida one dimensonal. Good at it or not.
