so far the most noteworthy thing is rogan's td return on a kick. he moved quick and hit the hole fast.1st team o looks good so far. qst team d as well..kinda a mismatch putting 1st v 2nd teams.ainge is pretty spot on. o line looks good vs 2nd team dbriscoe is getting a lot of reps. good routes.

I've backed them as much as anyone on here, but the drops are getting old. They perform in practice supposedly, but in a game setting, they have flatout sucked. They better shape up because there aren't many more simulations before the Cal game.

I like matching up 1st team vs. second team occasionally; that way you know whether or not to be happy about mistakes. If the first team offense has a turnover, bad news, but if the first team defense forces one, it's good news. Therefore, I am happy that the o-line is sucking against the first team d-line, but not so much that even though O'Neal is first-team it appears, he is not taking advantage of his oppurtunity. jwells, can you update on Vinson? Fulmer said yesterday if he doesn't step up he'll be switched to DB.

You have to remember that right now, the receivers have a lot to focus on to prepare for the game. their concentration will likely improve once they get through all the drills, learning all the new plays (believe it or not), learn blocking assignments. Rs at virtually all schools are going through the same thing right now. It's way to early to start judging these guys.

Wow, Rogan returning kicks. I don't remember him getting any reps back there during the last scrimmage.

OT, what device are you posting from? Are you getting the mobile skin? Just curious.

I don't expect drops to be a problem with the recievers really because unlike Pat Washington, I have faith that Trooper will fix it. I am worried about the TE's though. It seems like we haven't had a reliable TE with good hands since Witten. We have had plenty of talented ones since then, but none of them can seem to catch.

I'm not as much worried about the WRs as the TEs. They are SRs and should have most of the offense down. Cut trusts them to carry a heavy load this year so we are in trouble if they can't catch a pass.
