Keep a eye of Chance Hall.. he may at RT before the end of the year

He's been a suprise. Kid is just a bull when you watch him hit. Very excited about the time when he's ready to take over. If Richmond and Jones develop as we hope, then next year our OL should have some athletes to strike some fear out there.

Jancek owned up to making poor play calls. Marquez limped all over the place in the videos.

I only had a problem with the last call.

And people are forgetting our WRs arent exactly the most healthy...

But it does make me wonder what happened to Malone and J Johnson.

Talk is talk. They've talked up the passing game since spring. They've talked up Dobbs ability to run the passing game since spring.

I'll believe what they're saying when they actually play a quality opponent and run a somewhat balanced O.

This all day long. All we heard since DeBord arrived on campus was his synergy with Dobbs, the improvements he almost instantly made with Dobbs' base, his footwork, his mechanics, his command, his accuracy. Obviously, all that was pure BS given what we've seen through 4 games.....and that comment was not aimed st Dobbs....they've not let him do anything in the passing game yet. All we hear now is about how the coaches don't trust Dobbs to throw the simplest of routes.

I'm with you 18....I don't trust a thing I hear from them right now. Nothing. Gonna have to see it on the field....not holding my breath.

We haven't heard the coaches don't trust him. People here who blame Dobbs have conjectured that as the problem. They don't trust the the oline.

RUCKER'S RAPID REVIEW

-Richmond and Taylor locked horns first in the Tennessee Drill, but difficult to tell who won the battles.
-Spent a good amount of time working on special teams, preparing for wrinkles Arkansas has.

INTERVIEWS
JANCEK: We will work hard and we will get it right.
JANCEK: To me, everyone has to take ownership in it. Players, coaches. We have to get the stop in the 4th quarter.

DeBORD: A QB has to go through his progressions and we feel like @josh_dobbs1 is a great progression quarterback.
DeBORD: Our linemen did as good of a job blocking the second level as they did all year.
DeBORD: We've got to mix the pass and we've got to get the pass going as well. And we will.

GILLESPIE: I think @MrHurd_1 is becoming a complete back.
GILLESPIE: Sometimes the best defense is a good offense. It's our job every week to stay on the field and put points on the board.

STRIPLING: Our motto this week is "Every play is 4th & 1"
So does the last line mean we are punting, kicking a field goal or letting them score?

I guess I am perplexed as to why our receivers are struggling so much with injuries, its not like they have been involved very much on the field this year. Most appear to be bigger & stronger than our opponents but we don't seem to leverage that to our advantage.

I've constantly heard the coaches don't trust him on radio.....Swain, RTI boys, Ainge, et al. Now, I'm not criticizing Dobbs...I'm criticizing Butch and DeBord for not letting Dobbs play. He's shown he can make a lot of the throws with what he did last year. He's very accurate on slants and moderately deep throws (15-20 yds) to the middle of the field. He can do so much more than they're letting him do IMO.

As far as the OL, I'm not buying that they can't give him time to be successful from the pocket. There are myriad routes that this big, athletic WR corps should be able to run with great effectiveness that we've not seen. Butch has chosen to simply just abandon the passing game and not adjust the routes accordingly....the OU game showed us this...rather than throw behind the blitzes with the quick passing game, it appeared we made no adjustments whatsoever to the increased pressure Josh saw. Last year Dobbs completed 80% of his passes vs the blitz, tops in the SEC, so he can handle it....but for some reason they just refuse to let him do so. I don't get it.

Pretty sure the posters on here are "assuming" that.

I will say, Dobbs has been great at going thru progressions and not making bad decisions (wish he would hold onto the ball better).
I think they trust him just fine, just.not the OL. I think they're trying to protect his body by making him more of a pocket passer (it looks that way and I don't agree with) and the running game is working so well...

Also keep in mind the injuries to thr WRs HAVE to have some affect... Pig in and out, North hurt again... I think they said half the travelling WRs had some nagging injury.

Instead of.writing.off the passing game I'm waiting on it to develop more. The run game is working so well I have confidence it willl come along.

CBJ: we worked a little on downfield passing as well as the 2 minute drill. I really felt after looking at the chart that this was never an issue in our game last week but we're young and still building things brick by brick.

I've heard numerous sources say they don't think Jones trust Dobbs for some reason. And that's not a criticism of Dobbs IMO. It's an indictment of Jones and his mentality/philosophy. After all, a coach who constantly talks about how every game is gonna be close this year, is a blade of grass game and is a game of inches sure doesn't sound like a guy who is willing to throw the ball all over the yard....and what we've seen from the offense thus far shows it.

crazy how all of our WR's have sustained some sort of injury through camp and the season and we really don't use them at all to this point. How is North limping all over the field when he wasn't doing this last week or the week before in practice and hardly caught a single catch the entire FL game? Pig is still out, now North's knee is bothering him again (I guess from all the blocking in the FL game) and Croom is a ghost. Not trying to be an arse, just stating the facts...

WTH!!! I only saw like two or three people with charts!! No wonder our offense is stagnant. We need better communication with the charts and the analytics.

In band we all had charts. This way we all had the same information at the same time. Much better communication that way.

And remember, the DE only has 2.8 seconds to run a 17 foot arc. Therefore, knowing the inverse tangent to the oblique of the curve will yield a much more efficient attack rate. If we could just teach our DB's the proper force/speed ratio and how it effects the inertia of a body in motion, we probably wouldn't have missed that tackle in the 4th qtr. on 4th down that lead to the td. It's all in the numbers people!!!!!

Could it be Dobbs is very inconsistent? I'd say that's it in a nutshell..... When he throws you neve know where it's going to go.

I listen to those also and they have pretty much been consistent blaming Butch and the oline. One guy on 990 wondered if them not trusting Dobbs was the problem. He even said it was a guess. Not one expert, local or national have said they heard that from someone in the program.

Not 990....Swain in the morning, RTI guys in the afternoon, Brice and Low Sunday evening on The Nation...all have said that based on what they've seen regarding the utter lack of any attempt to establish a passing game, they believe that for some reason, the coaches are showing a lack of trust in Joshua. I personally think it's a miscalculation on Jones' part, but agree with Swain and company....they refuse to let him go, to turn him loose....what other conclusion can you draw? Btw, theyre blaming Butch as well....like I said earlier, it's not a criticism of Josh. The only one who seems to put most of the blame on Dobbs' inconsistency is Ainge, and I disagree with him.

im all about the run game but there has to be consistency. you cant have one without the other. balance is key.

you have to trust your guy otherwise whats the point?

So still no one has sources saying that is what it is. That is all conjecture.

All the experts have blamed play calling and oline for the most part.
