RUCKER'S RAPID REVIEW
NORTH QUESTIONS LINGER: Junior wide receiver Marquez North was dressed for Tuesday's practice, and he was in his regular practice jersey, but he’s still clearly well short of 100 percent physically after suffering a knee injury in preseason camp. North has been on the field for the Vols the past few games, but he hasn’t been a huge factor and clearly hasn't been 100 percent healthy.
-Richmond and Taylor locked horns first in the Tennessee Drill, but difficult to tell who won the battles.
-Spent a good amount of time working on special teams, preparing for wrinkles Arkansas has.

INTERVIEWS
JANCEK: We will work hard and we will get it right.
JANCEK: To me, everyone has to take ownership in it. Players, coaches. We have to get the stop in the 4th quarter.

DeBORD: A QB has to go through his progressions and we feel like @josh_dobbs1 is a great progression quarterback.
DeBORD: Our linemen did as good of a job blocking the second level as they did all year.
DeBORD: We've got to mix the pass and we've got to get the pass going as well. And we will.

GILLESPIE: I think @MrHurd_1 is becoming a complete back.
GILLESPIE: Sometimes the best defense is a good offense. It's our job every week to stay on the field and put points on the board.

STRIPLING: Our motto this week is "Every play is 4th & 1"

WTH!!! I only saw like two or three people with charts!! No wonder our offense is stagnant. We need better communication with the charts and the analytics.

In band we all had charts. This way we all had the same information at the same time. Much better communication that way.

And remember, the DE only has 2.8 seconds to run a 17 foot arc. Therefore, knowing the inverse tangent to the oblique of the curve will yield a much more efficient attack rate. If we could just teach our DB's the proper force/speed ratio and how it effects the inertia of a body in motion, we probably wouldn't have missed that tackle in the 4th qtr. on 4th down that lead to the td. It's all in the numbers people!!!!!

Talk is talk. They've talked up the passing game since spring. They've talked up Dobbs ability to run the passing game since spring.

I'll believe what they're saying when they actually play a quality opponent and run a somewhat balanced O.
