During both individual periods, Tennessee’s OL (L-R) consisted of Marcus Tatum, Jahmir Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Nathan Niehaus and Drew Richmond. Chance Hall did sub a couple times for Niehaus at right guard.
One funny aside with the OL: Brandon Kennedy was out in full pads, but no helmet, watching practice today.
In terms of injuries, Jauan Jennings was running routes on air Tuesday — something he didn’t do at all last week. His right ankle is heavily tapped and he wasn’t moving particularly swift, but he was participating. At tailback, Ty Chandler, Tim Jordan and Jeremy Banks were all out there.
Micah Abernathy and Trevon Flowers both were going through individual drills with the safeties.
-Jesse SimontonNotably, John Mincey was with the first-team at end, flanking Alexis Johnson, Shy Tuttle and Kyle Phillips.
Freshman JJ Peterson, who played some on defense against Charlotte, was not with the scout team this week and was working with the rest of the outside linebackers.
Who is playing the role of Kentucky edge-rushing star Josh Allen, you ask? It was freshman walk-on Nyles Gaddy, a 6-foot-4, 226-pounder out of Father Ryan in Nashville. Gaddy was working with the tight ends as Brian Niedermeyer drilled his guys on blocking Kentucky's top defensive threat.
Veteran safety Micah Abernathy was back at practice and going through drills normally on Tuesday.
-Patrick BrownFreshman safety Trevon Flowers, who Pruitt on Monday called a "game-day decision" for the Kentucky, also was at practice and with the safeties, but he appeared to be more limited than Abernathy.
