Tuesday practice highlights

Why start this BS of "Milton may have been guaranteed the starting job?"

There's ZERO indication the team is not 100% with Heupel and we've seen nothing but a happier group, a hard working group, and a supportive group developed by the coaching staff. You've got NOTHING but an agenda because Bailey didn't prove himself in practice.

I'll note the competition appeared even in the Spring. I'll note the competition appeared even for quite a bit of Fall practice. When Heupel DID make his choice to drop reps for some was when Maurer hit the portal.

All of that was evident. It's been a QB competition and Milton won it. If you have something more than sour grapes because Bailey got recruited over from the portal first by Pruitt, then by Heupel...... please share it but baseless crap is.... baseless and crap.

I said MAY. Unless, there is a DRASTIC IMPROVEMENT IN THE NEXT TWO AND A HALF WEEKS, Milton won't get it done at UT in SEC games. Bailey will shine by mid year or transfer elsewhere and prove all of you IGNORANT NAYSAYERS WRONG!!! Do you care to put a wager on it?

When your hot in the numbers touch doesn’t matter. You catch the damn ball. Simple

Yeah, that TD pass that should have been intercepted and approximately 9 of the other last 11 throws were right on the numbers. Your are clueless! Milton only showed he had the same or less accuracy than JG!!!

Receivers catch the ball. If its coming in hot? you catch it. Low? Catch it. Cause you never know when you'll get your number called again. Dropsies won't make you a favorite target cause you can't be trusted. Why do you think EVERY receiver catches off the jugs? Most spend time after practice catching balls that are smoking coming out. No issues there right?

You have no basis for MAY. If you do, please show it. That's all I'm asking. What makes you think this? Where's any indication from what we've all seen?

We all saw a dead heat in the Spring. We saw even reps reported from Fall camp. We saw a distinction made in reps...... and Maurer hit the portal.

It's been a competition and Bailey didn't win QB1. He appears not to have won QB2, but that's up for debate.

Beyond that, you're either with the team and QB1 or you're just spreading crap. Why? As someone said, you think you know more than Heupel. You don't.

Doug Williams had the same problem and yes he finally won a Super Bowl. Not to mention his arm strength wasn’t the same and he had a huge supporting cast with a great running team.! You can’t just throw fastballs and get away with it. I agree the receivers must catch the ball. But you can’t replicate that kind of speed in practice and all the pressures in the game. Your running a route just to run or to block. Your talking junk and getting beat on. Your gassed at times and just being able to run that perfect route. It’s a lot to catch that one fast ball that you may or may not see in the game.

Practice isn’t the real thing...ball doesn’t come at you the same way. But a good pass shouldn’t be dropped that’s on the receivers

I understand but do u think they told Farve back in the day to take some off of his throws? I doubt it. Jayson Swain even says it’s the receivers responsibility to hit the jug machine every afternoon and turn it full blast to work on bullets. Yes their are certain routes that take more touch but slants and stop routes no. Fire that ball in there.

I seriously doubt many programs have a 5* QB on the debt chart that can't get in the game.
Let's not forget the hard push by many schools to flip HB. He stayed the course and continued to try and recruit other players to UT.
He may be they type that hangs around for five years getting better each season as a back up. Senior year he leads the team to championships.
He seems very loyal, I would not count him out.
I think you are spot on. It would be the smartest thing for him. Let the others go through the rebuild and learn this system in and out. These QBs are only going to win if they have all the other pieces around them. Let the transfers take the losses and groom HB to be the QB that gets all the glory 3 years from now.

okay but swain can say what he wants but he probably never had that situation. Strong arm doesn’t mean bullets. Go back and watch his scramble to his left and decided to drill the receiver standing on the sidelines eight yards from him. That shitz is ridiculous

Quinn Ewers will only see garbage time at Ohio State, most likely.

Brock Vandagriff at GA is sitting at QB3, I think.

I'm hoping Vandagriff gets tired of it at GA and Heupel grabs him.

Thought the thumb injury was the excuse for his decline in play every game last season, but a few post earlier someone said it was on his left hand. And he throws right handed, right?
Interesting
This has been rehashed over and over. The injury was his throwing hand.

No one is claiming to be smarter than Heupel and staff. Learn to read before letting your fingers type ignorant rants!!! It MAY BE TRUE that Heupel promised Milton the job before transferring. I hope it isn't true. If so, Heupel could lose the team quickly like Pruitt and staff did last year. Myself as well as thousands on this board have seen a lot more accuracy from Bailey than Milton as of now. Time will tell if others and myself are right about Bailey and Milton. Either way, I still say Bailey is a diamond in the rough needing a few starts to put it together and be the QB he was projected to be!!!
Ignorant rant? Surely you jest. You are a sensitive fellow…
