Isn't that when you stop the scrimmage and find out what he saw and why he threw it??? Oh snap. That coaching. We don't do that here
I’m sure they talked to him about it. After the first one and if it was the same mistake on the second there’s not really anything else you can tell him that you didn’t already tell him.

I have a problem with that if true. You WANT your guys to push hard enough to make mistakes in practice so you can correct them. It would be stupid to "yank" a guy... you should make him do it repeatedly until he gets it.

Unless you yanked him so a QB who wasn’t having these issues gets more reps (Bailey)

Then if it was...what are they seeing...and then rep it until it stops...but to expect guys with minimal reps to not make mistakes is poor coaching IMO

Well I don’t think you have that luxury regarding these scrimmages. They are trying to find a #2 before the Arkansas game. You can fix that stuff in normal practice. In the scrimmage scenario, you are trying to find that guy who can operate and be consistent under pressure.

So your saying it was an accuracy issue...as in they are making the same throw....or a decision issue where one checks off and another forces the throw???

This I don’t know. My guess is, that these are forced passes into either double or triple coverage. To a place the ball shouldn’t of gone. Don’t think our staff would care as much if it was intercepted but thrown where it needs to go

If Bailey isn't having "issues" at his level of development then he isn't being pushed hard enough. Making this much of something like that... makes me remember the Ainge-Crompton spring game a few years back. Ainge's reported numbers all spring were terrible even going into the fall. Crompton by "the numbers" was much better.

What we didn't know at the time was that the coaches were pushing Ainge a lot harder. They were intentionally taking him to the point of failure whereas they had JC on a different schedule for development. That was the off-season before Ainge destroyed Cal.

I don't know what they're doing... HB may be developing quickly and may rise to the top. We can read too much into these anecdotal type reports.

Yeah. It was the big rage at coaching clinics probably 5 years ago or so and since has become very common. I’ve always heard it called “Seahawk” tackling because I first saw it in a Pete Carroll video

Unfortunately I’m very quickly beginning to dislike Pruitt. The arrogance and stubbornness is getting old. As I began reading his comments from Tuesday’s practice I knew we were going to end up with another lecture. And there it is…”this week will be pivotable as the younger players try to learn the practice habits necessary to get to play on Saturdays”.
Shut the hell up and replace the damn quarterback you idiot. This “habits” BS is him trying to justify a pathetic and ridiculous decision that is causing the program to look foolish. We didn’t need any more help at that. We’ve managed just fine the decade before he got here.

Wish that I could give more than just one like for this sentence.
"Shut the hell up and replace the damn quarterback you idiot."

That’s not always true. I mean sometimes kids are just that good.

At this point I have to wonder, is playing against our offense, making our defense worse, or is playing against our defense making our offense worse?
Not sure, but I guarantee JG looks great in practice because our secondary is incapable of making a play on the ball. Either that, or he always throws against air.
