I assume Tuesday's game against Tennessee Tech will be moved to earlier time or even to Wednesday.

Basketball tips at 8:00. Baseball scheduled for 7:00

Tech (5-10) is the last of the "pre-season" games, the Vols go on the road to UGA this weekend. How do folks think we'll do in SEC play, based on the limited number of games, we've seen so far?

10-20 is my prediction. What team isn't on the schedule?

Tuesday's baseball game is scheduled for TV on FSN, so it will not be moved.

Game was picked up because of future scheduling conflicts with Braves games and NBA games.

Has there ever been a game when it wasn't?

Not a lot they could do, requested the Wednesday NIT game, got Tuesday anyway.

Yeah, before this season I never had problems with parking. Even in the days when the AMWAY bums had their convention you could usually steal a space somewhere nearby.

Now, with the lot in front of phi sig gone. the lot next to music building gone. The loss of street parking on Todd Helton during construction. The reserve MVP spots as well as various swim meet, track meet, concerts and religious conferences parking has become a problem.

We have to get rid of the rail yard. No sure why CSX even wants to keep that facility in its current location.

I can't even try to imagine what the backside of UT campus would look like with all the extra space. Shared parking with soccer and softball. New buildings and facilities. Park like area maybe. A grove/tailgating area on fall weekends. A clear view all the way to the river

That would be outstanding, but CSX has refused to even discuss a purchase of the land in the last two years.

I love UT baseball but at this stage of the season and considering the opponent I don't see many seats getting used on Tuesday night at LN stadium. Basketball will definitely get most of the fans attention. Surely we can get into the top 10 of the SEC this year. Auburn really is probably one of the 2 that doesn't make it. Living 10 mins from Hoover I'm hoping like hell we make it. I go to the tournament regardless because I love baseball and my little boy does too so its a great bonding opportunity but would be even more enjoyable if the Vols made it. Won't be long until it becomes the norm but here's hoping it starts this year.

Parking is worse, for sure...I went saturday...an hour early, ended up parking in the CSX lot at the corner when ya turn onto Helton. I wasn't about to pay $10 to park. There's the one lot, behind right field that's free, that's pretty much it and it filled up fast.

As for tuesday, because BOTH the baseball and the basketball games will be televised, I've decided to stay home, so I can watch both. Who knows when I'll be able to get a seat in the lower bowl again for the that price. Not many televised baseball games on the other hand, so....

I've never had a problem getting a spot in the right field lot that is free.....I usually get there pretty early, but have not had troubles even when I am running late.

Feel confident going into Athens to play the Bulldogs that I think got exposed by the Bruins.

13 to 14 wins possibly more if they win 2 or 3 series in the first half of divsion games. possibly 17-19 if they win 2 of 3 of the first half series since it would give them confidence, and they wouldn't be in a big hole which has been the problem.

Rail companies are very territorial and defensive when it comes to property and ROW they own.

The state and city begged for some relief from Norfolk Southern on the Coster Shop property as they were forced to put the dangerous curve on 275 when they were not given the right to simply overpass the property. Soon after, Coster Shop was basically abandoned and is an environmental brownfield.

The CSX property is a relatively small yard that is difficult to reach intermodaly. It services few trains. It is surrounded by high risk population as well as utility concerns.

I was thinking that is Norfolk Southenr had been able to build the intermodal facility in nearby New Market that maybe CSX would want a larger facility elsewhere as well.

Despite my politics, I've never been a big fan of railroads as corporate citizens. You'd think they would at least listen to UT but are seemingly taking the same stance as Norfolk Southern.
