There are too many recorded conversations from Pilot about Lane from 2010 and 2011 for them to ever bring him back unfortunately.

Oh noes!!!!!!:eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:

Are you 12?

No. I’m just trying to explain this to you because I know for a fact that no amount of pressure will work when it comes to Kiffin. Are you an idiot? Were you in 5th grade when Kiffin was here?

He can’t come back unless you piss off the boosters who are on your side against Haslam right now.

That’s fine, but it won’t happen at Tennessee, no matter how much fans want it. The boosters blew millions of dollars on him. I like Kiffin. I wish he could come back, but no amount of pressure can change what happened. He left devastation in his wake.

Until he’s signed at another school I’ll leave the light on unless a better option presents itself. We’re losing valuable recruiting time and we’re running outta prospects

If I knew that Kiffin would take the job, I'd be good with offering it to him, but I honestly think he'd drag us around, then shoot us down via Twitter and go take the Arky job to rub it in our faces.

No. He left us with a winning record (pounding Spurrier, pounding Georgia, a field goal away from beating Saban's national title team) and a frustrated fan base that loved his swagger and did not want him to leave. BRING HIM BACK FOR ANOTHER CHANCE AND LET'S WIN!

Here is the one I was looking for. He was hit with “failure to monitor staff.” Had Kiffin stayed, we would’ve been hit hard. We dodged a bullet. Blackburn got us out of the mess.

Lane burned too many bridges. It’s sad, but it is what it is.

We didn’t get hit and we can’t get tried for any past grievances already settled. The guy has been clean at FAU, Bama, and USC. Quit holding minor issues against him that are 8 years old.

Haslam has countless hours of privately recorded conversations by the FBI and Lane is the subject of quite a few of those. THAT is why he will never be here again to coach.

Go get your hopes up. Don’t say you weren’t warned and don’t take it out on coaches because they aren’t Kiffin. If we get Brohm, Martin, Morris or whoever, don’t get frustrated. Kiffin ain’t Gruden. You don’t get a second chance after a “failure to monitor” because he screwed the he university, told our recruits to ditch us, and is the reason we are in this mess.

"The university is deeply disappointed that these violations have occurred," the response states. "The depth of the disappointment is matched only by its commitment to doing whatever is necessary to restore the reputations of its men's basketball and football programs. That commitment is perhaps most visibly evidenced by the hiring of Derek Dooley as head football coach and Cuonzo Martin as head men's basketball coach. Both men have impeccable reputations for integrity and compliance with governing rules and regulations."

Its very sad . Its sad that after this many years that so many fans cant get over what happen. This is what makes our fan base look bad . This is business and the business today is get this program back on its feet . Its gonna take someone with youth energy ambition and a lotta balls just to take this job . Look around there aint much out there . Keep hanging on to this grudge until we are talking about when we use to beat Vandy and we won SEC games .

personaly, i'm ok with it. i don't think you can realistically get away with hirinig him at this point though. too toxic. it would generate another bad reaction with many....again. we already have a dumpster fire, and i think Kiffin would just be dumping gas on it at this point. and i doubt seriously Currie could make the hire, even if he wanted to, and i don't think he does. one of the reasons i think they made such a push for Gundy.

i'd hire Les Mles tomorrow if i could at this point. maybe take some of that $6M, and see if you could get Tee to come over as OC/HCIW for a couple/three years with Les. let them pick the staff out, require Tee to hire the DC.

and if i had a say, if i couldn't fire currie, i'd at least make Fulmer a GM of football operations or something. and get him back involved directly with the football program.

if i could fire Currie, i'd hire blackburn, and still make fulmer the GM of football ops and still try to go with the les/tee combo..split that $6.25 up between them....

no idea if you could get everyone to get on board with that....but hell you just offered a dump truck of money to gundy and you tried to give us greg schiano. so why not do something like this..........

Just a bunch of saggy balled, holier than thou, would rather lose with a nice guy than win with brashness, fans around here.

So your saying people wont and don't change? Or you just hold a grudge forever. I know people that have made bad decisions and learned from them. But it sounds like you only associate with perfect people. Im the kinda person that gives second chances.Sounds like your not. Sorry to know that.
