TrumPutinGate

I know Gary Johnson wasn’t the ideal candidate but only getting 3% or whatever as the condiment on the turd sandwich we got served last time, killed my hope for an actual third party.

Part of my “will there be a primary challenge of trump” schtick is a hope that somebody can put together the funding to found a party that picks off the never trumpers and moderates enough to scare both parties back to the center but it’s more of a pipe dream.

Ironic since I really want Trump to lose but running any kind of third party candidate between him and some socialist democrat in this election seems like the best bet to get him re-elected.

The whole "What is an Aleppo?" Lost a lot of votes that he might have gotten.

I fly the libertarian flag now also but it isn’t a direct fit. Classic libertarianism supports open borders for example. I’m definitely not for that. As more refugees show up debates are forming to adapt the platform. Historically the libertarian party I think was its own worst enemy with its own infighting. But I think if they can find a way to play nice with the refugees and their historical internal self there’s a chance they could attract both red and blue moderates.
People have screamed for ever about wanting an outsider wanting someone not owned by either major political party, we get one and that's still not good enough

Winner-takes-all kills third parties.

There is no way to empirically know whether the Russian effort changed the outcome. You'd have to query millions of people and figure out what influenced them and where it came from.

But us smart people do appreciate you guys trying to dumb it down with a "no harm, no foul" test. Really, kudos.

Obama, your Anointed god, came out & said himself the Russians could not interfere w/our elections.

*discord: disagreement between people.

discourse: written or spoken communication or debate

unless you really meant that.
I certainly view Trump's attempt as more discord than discourse. I'm not sure he really values communication and debate.

Sure he does. He's said before that he's always open for communication & debate. The Dems don't want that.
The Dems just like to fight against Trump everyday on every step he takes to MAGA.

lol.....Trump doesn't even value communication and debate among his own staff, much less his adversaries.

I shrugged that off I thought it was over blown. As informed as he was with the budget and resources I thought he did a decent job on prep. Like Rocky said he wasn’t my ideal candidate but he was the one I chose. Regardless Trump won... and he’s POTUS till he terms out or loses. And I’ll take him 10 out of 10 times over Killary. My vote for Johnson was a defiant one but I didn’t expect it to make a difference. And I’ve been pleasantly surprised thus far with the election results.

No I’m behind Trump now, he won and like I said above he’s been a positive surprise to me and I support him. Johnson or Trump both were outsiders.

And people like my vote are going to show up in 2020 too. I didn’t vote for Trump last time. If we continue as we have since 2016 I will do so next time though.

Of course it had an impact. Enough to change the outcome? There's no way to say for sure. Why do swing voters vote as they do? Sometimes there's little rhyme or reason.

Two reasons. Either they are pissed off at the status quo or the candidate is offering them something they want and can reasonably deliver.

Or they dislike candidate B more than they dislike candidate A. This was the basis of many votes and this is where propaganda (both home grown and Ruskie) played the biggest role.
