TrumPutinGate

You almost have to feel sorry for the anti-Trumpers. Everything blows up in their face. They think they have him, and he slithers away every time.
I find the overall trend to be a rising probability that Trump is in trouble.

I don't think that Sr. texts or emails, so you may have to get a warrant for his Ovaltine Decoder .

I honestly think they were so stupid and naive that there will be written confirmation of any communication of what went on in the meeting, probably by email. Not necessarily between them, but communicated to someone else, like Stone or Manafort, and them relaying it.

Put it this way: if there is not, then I would tend to believe it was relatively minor, even if there was bad motive there. Reason being that if they were excited about getting Russian help, I would think it would be talked about a lot.

Apparently stupid enough to coordinate false statements and create an easy obstruction case, at minimum. There isn't anyone that doubts Trump will pull out the pardons, especially if involving the family.

I've always thought he would resign.
He will if he thinks he’s going to lose in 2020. The you’re fired jokes would just about kill him. No chance he’s at his successors inauguration if he is defeated. I could literally see him resigning a month early just so Mike Pence is the one who has to actually hand over power.

The obstruction is what makes me most suspicious that there was flat out collusion. Its hard to understand why he would go to so much trouble otherwise.

He’s not particularly bright and has generally gotten away with lying. Don’t be surprised if there’s no thinking ahead whatsoever.

Why do you say any of that?

First, I saw it on CNN and MSNBC a bunch yesterday. I am not exaggerating, it was talked about on numerous MSNBC shows plus it was lead story for quite some time online for CNN.

Second, as could easily have been predicted, the TrumpDefenders are overplaying their hand with this. They are pretending this is the end of any possibility of communication to Trump of what occurred at the meeting, when it is not. They also claim vindication of the meeting itself, which it clearly is not.

And third, it in many ways raises more questions than it answers. Assuming it is true, then Donald, Jr., did not call Daddy after the meeting. He called business partners. Why? Those people have not yet identified what was discussed. And, if the meeting itself was innocent, why did the administraiton lie about what it was about untl caught red handed lying by their own emails, which they had to release, and which showed it was not about adoption? And, why did Trump feel compelled to personally author a phony press release on Air Force One about it?
Everythings a conspiracy to you and your side. I've had 20 phone calls today and 90% of them were family. Ooooo that's boogeyman material there.

Saying its the Trump critics who believe in conspiracies is laughably ironic.

At any rate, calls to the blocked number certainly would have been one way for them to communicate. There are others, such as in person (he was what, a floor or two above them at the time?), or email or text. Again, if it was substantive help being offered, I would think it would show up in some way, in writing, amongst the Trump team.

And if it did, and Trump knew that, it would certainly explain why he tried to kill the investigation so soon, and why he in turn fabricated the press release to minimize it.

You guy don't really understand where I am coming from on that meeting, so let me be clear. There are a range of possibilities. On one end, you have a failed attempt to offer a favor that never went anywhere and is unconnected to other offers to do favors. On the other end, this was one of a string of Russian efforts to help the Trump campaign and in coordination with the campaign.

If the former, it was stupid. And you have to wonder about their judgment. But its just in the scheme of things not that big a deal. Trump would survive it. If the latter, he has to leave office and I suspect enough Senate Republicans would agree that he has to go that he would pull a Nixon and just quit, then go out and make billions lecturing stupid people about the Deep State, and selling them on Real Estate schemes and frozen steaks.

And there are a lot of possibilities in between.

You're probably right, but I'm remaining optimistic.
This all boils down to sore losers. Told some friends the day after he was elected to buckle up. Never in my fkin life have I seen grown ass men cry because a candidate got beat for President. What makes it even funnier is they were crying over Hillary. Lol

Let’s Pause to Appreciate That Trump Thinks Mueller Is Biased Against Him Because of Golf Club Fees

The president began to argue that Mr. Mueller had three conflicts of interest that disqualified him from overseeing the investigation … First, he claimed that a dispute years ago over fees at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Va., had prompted Mr. Mueller, the F.B.I. director at the time, to resign his membership.
