TrumPutinGate

I'm not sure about Barr, really. He doesn't have much to lose by playing straight, but.. He's chimed in on Comey negatively, to some degree.. But, yeah, maybe
Depends on how that narcissistic skid mark Comey responds
  • If he comes out praising Barr and points to their old friendship then he’s playing the DC insider “you wouldn’t come after one of your own” card
  • If he rails the Appt then he’s expecting trouble
  • If he keeps his mouth shut - aw never mind that blow hard will not be able to keep his mouth shut

On Sunday, Rudy Giuliani said that discussions over the proposed Trump Tower Moscow project went through the 2016 Presidential election. (He tried to distance himself from that today by injecting some ambiguity into the timeline.) However, the timeline matters. If it's true that Trump was negotiating a real estate deal in Moscow through November 8, 2016... That would mean: Trump was not only lying on an almost daily basis about his business dealings in Russia but also engaging in a very clear conflict of interest. Trump was 1) floating the possibility of lifting sanctions against Russia during the campaign, he was 2) casting doubt on Russia's meddling into the 2016 election during the campaign in the face of the U.S. intelligence community's conclusions and also 3) openly questioning the usefulness of the NATO alliance during the campaign (which is advantageous to Putin's global agenda)... all while in the midst of a negotiation with the Russian government for a real estate deal which would have personally enriched him.

Not good... not good at all.

Giuliani is either a senile old coot who needs to be replaced, or he's a gottdamned genius of a strategist. His comments are so all-over-the-place that they're almost impossible to follow.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday agreed to allow an unknown foreign company – owned by an unknown foreign government – to ask the justices to hear a legal challenge to a still-secret federal grand jury subpoena, which could be related to the Special Counsel probe into Russian interference in the 2016 elections.

In two simple orders issued by the Justices this morning, the Supreme Court allowed the mystery foreign company to submit documents which would not be made public, but also required “redacted copies for the public record,” as the company challenges a request for information as part of an unknown federal investigation.

At this point, the Supreme Court has not accepted the case for argument, but is allowing the unknown company to request a hearing before the Supreme Court – what is known as a writ of certiorari – as the foreign corporation is challenging lower court rulings which forced the company to turn over documents related to a federal grand jury investigation.

This is right up your alley.

Unknown - check, Unknown - check, Unknown - check. Baaaaaa Trump guilty.

How is it a proven fact?

geezus.

You're awful at this.

I think this forum needs a kids debate thread so that guys like you can get up to speed before stepping into the Thunderdome. Your response was so mind-numbingly neophytic that I physically cringed, which is breathtaking given the number of stupid posts that flow through here daily.

I don't necessary disagree with your points.

Sure, there is this foreign company that has been fighting a subpoena since September and the case is knocking on the door of the Supreme Court. Oh yea and the case is under seal.
Was my snide remark over your head?
