The committee has subpoena power, not individual members. So if it's controlled by Republicans who want to protect the president--as it was with cowhand Nunes--you're not going to see too many subpoenas go out to witnesses who may hurt him.

However the did bring in almost everyone who was involved on the investigatory side and Schiff has all that info.
