TrumPutinGate

Eisenhower and Reagan were outsiders. Trump is a glorified internet troll.

Mueller is going to wrap up his investigation with a big nothing burger.

Yet the stage is being set to carry on this nonsense for his full term.

My parents have told me the nastiness around Reagan. He ended up doing more for conservatism than all the republicans that came after him combined.

I had no idea the pushback against an outsider would be so intense.
The dems are trying to make sure only socialists are elected going forward, the blue blood RINOs trying to make sure only blue blood RINOs get elected going forward. Both of those groups want to make sure it never happens again

Stop.
Acting.
Guilty.

If only Trump had heeded that advice long ago, this might well have fizzled out, at least in the polls. I swear, half the reason people think Trump is guilty is his irrational insistence on attacking everyone and everything that suggests he might be.

Gowdy's advice echoed that of Shakespeare, about 500 years ago: Methinks the lady doth protest too much.

So is Whitaker going to show up to testify tomorrow or nah?

Its very confusing. I cannot recall ever hearing of someone saying they will testify UNLESS they receive a subpoena.

This suggests strongly that he has been told he must claim executive privilege on some things. A subpoena that would get at that sets up a constitutional crisis as between branches of government. And of course what that is about are questions about whether Trump ever asked him to put the brakes on the investigation.

Like all useful idiots so far in this saga, Whitaker took on the job full of vim and vigor, a righteous cause. He got in there, saw the actual evidence, has said "Oh, Fu$k!" and wants to escape being tied to it.

Barr will be next.

Here, here. Nothing has kept the fires burning more than his near daily tweets and Rudy's infinitely stupid media tour failures.
