I agree. But I think the plan is that you first have to fix the holes in the ship before you prosecute those who drilled the holes. That’s my hope, anyway.

That's right, thanks. I don't know if we won that one, swapping a guy who smuggled high tech material with military applications to Russia on even basis with a lady that basically did nothing. But at least she's free, which is good.
Has Russia won every such exchange in the last few years? It looks kind of like they're running a scam on us. I'd have thought we'd get better terms considering the negotiating genius in the WH and his friendship with Putin.

in the short term tarriffs 'might' add a couple of tenths of per cent on inflation and inflation is all the way down to 0.7%. Adding a couple tenths of per cent to 0,7% is nothing. Even if tarriffs add 2 points to inflation, inflation would still be about half of where Biden last had it before ge left office.

inflation is probably down because people aren't spending like they used to.

The ECB is expected to cut interest rates for the 7th time, and yet, “Too Late” Jerome Powell of the Fed, who is always TOO LATE AND WRONG, yesterday issued a report which was another, and typical, complete “mess!” Oil prices are down, groceries (even eggs!) are down, and the USA is getting RICH ON TARIFFS. Too Late should have lowered Interest Rates, like the ECB, long ago, but he should certainly lower them now. Powell’s termination cannot come fast enough!
