Knocking it out of the park. My only disappointment is the lack of perp walks. Put somebody in jail for crying out loud. Still waiting on Myorkas and Garland To face perjury charges. General Milley still hasn’t been recalled and demoted yet. Faucci and his ilk are still living the high life, not even been called to testify under oath yet which the “pardon” doesn’t prevent.

I had arrived at I guess it's best Trump wins, because

- I can't tell who is the better option,
- I wouldn't mind false confidence in the economy,
- and at least we can get his 2nd term out of the way and the party can finally fkn move on.

And 60 days in

- It's hard to imagine Kamala or anybody else would be worse.
- Not seeing false confidence in the economy.
- I'm feeling very unsure that Trump will stop holding the party hostage.

Disappointing, and I didn't expect much. He's more Neocon this term, the Stasi tactics against foreign students are repulsive, and the DOGE show is a poorly run sham. Other than that he's got some serious faults. It is good to break the Bidenista grip though.

Close thread.

(PS if I were to really hit him over the head with something it would be, just cut the Ukraine out completely and let it work itself out naturally)

I do hold out hope he will cut spending next year once he's done continuing the Biden budget.

Doge has been really bad but exactly what you'd expect from very green analysts who don't know what they're looking at. More real cutting, less X bragging

Defense/military/ foreign policy- trash but expected given the appointments. Hopefully we'll cut off Ukraine and Israel soon. Hope we don't get caught with an Iraq-style fight in Yemen or Iran but I'm not optimistic

Border - better but shows that all the concentration on the wall during term1 just wasted time. Still very concerned about basic rights with heavier enforcement

Where's RFK Jr?

The border crossing improvement is better than I expected.
He is delivering on several of his promises made (not that I agree or disagree. just making the observation).

Everything else is about what I expected and I don't expect much.

ETA: I think he is better managed this term. He is acting more "professional / presidential" than his first term. I don't think he is more presidential at his core. I just think he is acting better.

Well let’s see. He’s pretty much doing all of the populist and partisan agenda items he said he was gonna do on the campaign trail so he’s doing exactly what he said he was gonna do and that shouldn’t shock anyone. So the closest on the choice would be meets. To be clear, meeting my expectations is not an endorsement. ESPECIALLY on trade.

Lol. We’re 2 months in so it’s hard to gauge much at the moment. Cracking down on immigration is a positive even though we knew how the activist judges would respond. Tariffs and the economy is still “we’ll have to wait and see”. The price of eggs have dropped considerably though. DOGE has been a positive if nothing else by simply triggering the looney leftists. Again, we’ll have to wait and see if it results in a net positive. Abolishing dei is also a positive and hopefully the DOE is next.

generally met my expectations.

Some good things done. Some other good things done but ruined by rhetoric. some mid results, and plenty of bad.

I thought the tariffs would have been much more destructive to the economy than they have been..... Maybe these increased costs will be more of a lagging result than immediate.

I feel like he's playing with fire in regards to the criminal gangs and cartels. When you let the law enforcement agencies do their job that's one thing. But when you put your stamp on it you also become more directly responsible for any possible retaliation from those organizations.

It's a very mixed bag, I think he's corrected some courses, and started down others he shouldn't.

These parties really need to start running better candidates.

Border security: Check

Owning the libs: Oh Hell Yeah he is!! All damn day, 24/7!!!

I’m happy. And let’s not forget the alternative. Comrade Installed Word Salad would have buried this country 60 days in. So thankful Trump won.
