Like most policy changes, you do have to give things a little time to work. How long do you suppose you have to implement and demonstrate that you actually will follow through on a policy like family separation before folks in Guatemala get the message and believe it? If you would ever talk to us and not at us then you would realize that everyone wants more border security. A wall is not going to solve that problem. More agents, more technology, and resources is what we need and we have all stated as much. Displacing illegals and asylum seekers from their parents is not making us safer.

Hard barriers keep drivers on their side of the road better than signs, flashing lights, and more cops, too. Barriers are there 24/7 ... human resources aren't ... now if you include landmines as "technology" we can start to agree.
