"I think Jay was wrong," Giuliani said on ABC's "This Week." "I mean, this is -- this is the reason you don't let the President testify. If, you know, every, our recollection keeps changing, or we're not even asked a question, and somebody makes an assumption, in my case, I made an assumption and then I, then, then we corrected, and I got it right out as soon as, as soon as, as soon as it happened. I think that's what happened here."

....can't argue with that.

He was president when he made the comments that he wants to do the interview.

And unless I misunderstand you, you are saying the reason he should dodge it is because he's too stupid and arrogant to not lie. That's a remarkable opinion you have of your guy.

He's not "my guy". You, a Trump hater of all people, should understand that Trump says things flippantly all the time. It is his nature to mouth off. If Mueller can so much as prove that one iota of what Trump tells him is factually incorrect, he will nail Trump on a perjury charge.

Obviously, Trump's lawyers recognize this undesirable trait of President Trump, which is why they are backing out of an interview with Mueller. This is not hard to understand.

Turns out Trump personally wrote the lie to try to cover up junior's meeting to get dirt on Clinton from the Russians.

After all the chants at his rallies I'm going to laugh my azz off when it is Trump that gets locked up!!

What's stupid is his thinking that he could get away with it. Unbelievable. But I guess we understand now why his lawyers don't want him giving any testimony. He will lie
for sure. In the end it probably doesn't matter. They have him dead to rights. This nightmare will be over soon and he will be back not paying his bills and cheating on his wife.

Query: If Trump had no previous knowledge of this meeting, why did he personally dictate the Trump Jr. statement about the purpose of the meeting?

More amateur hour. You'd think a conniving, pathological liar would eventually become pretty good at it. But he's just a gibbering, delusional moron.

There is nothing finer than watching the LG and the gang get all wee wee'd up over the latest morsel of info that is going to sink the current president.

No matter how the last ones turned out, they go back to the well one more time.

It's more like watching the water pour into the giant bucket at the water park in anticipation of the tilt and the ensuing deluge.

Changed poor to pour before '72 pointed it out....just sayin'.

He must be taking a nap.

You know, I'd honestly expect people to be sad on the off chance our President actually committed a crime. The fact some are giddy and gleeful at just the idea of it happening, that really scares me.

Still, no actual evidence he's committed a crime though. Just speculation.

There are a few types of people who do well in their careers by lying through their teeth. Politicians, car salesmen, and lawyers come to mind. He is one of those.

The sadness happened on the night of the election. The shock and tears were real. All of the pictures of the young people crying that some of the posters on here just love to look at. That was my youngest daughter. She texted me at 2:00 am the night of the election and asked me to call her if I was still awake. She asked "is this really happening?" and "what type of world do we live in?" We talked for at least an hour.

You guys can blow it off as youthful idealism, claim it's a valuable real life lesson, or that they are nothing more than a product of a rotten liberal public education. I don't see it that way.

I've stated my belief that illegalities would provide a much more palatable explanation of Trump's victory than the realization that it's a true reflection of our country today. AND THAT"S MY FEELZ.
